Pet photos and chat

Took the new baby out in the pasture today to play for the first time. He wasn't too sure at first, but finally got the hang of it!

Hey....there is yummy stuff to chew on out here!!

I got mine at RC Steele, which I think is no longer in business.

A quick check around, though, and it looks like PetSmart and other companies sell them. Good news is that it looks like they now also come in different sizes and colors. :thumbsup2 You should definitely get one for Dash!

Here's a link with reviews, and video: http://reviews.petsmart.com/4830/2751746/reviews.htm LOL, that's just how my dog runs around with it, too.

BTW, I have a JRT "nephew", will see if I can find a pic to post.

Peeking out the doorway...

Your JRT nephew is a cutie :goodvibes he looks a little like Dash.

So, we made a trip to Petco and PetSmart looking for the ball and they didn't have them in the store, I will have to order it online. They did have a different ball though that we did get for him. He loves it and so far hasn't damaged it (too much). It has something inside that makes a weird sort of laughing sound when you roll it and it is made of a very hard plastic. He spent 3 hours playing with it the first afternoon, wouldn't leave it alone at all. Finally we put him in his kennel to give him a break, he was panting non-stop, almost hyperventilating. After a rest we let him out and he played another 3 hours straight with the ball, he is obsessed with it and here is a picture to prove it. He has spent so much time playing with it that his snout/mouth area is red.

He is slowing down a bit on playing with it, it's not a constant obsession like it was the first few days, but I still feel bad. Doesn't seem to be a happy medium with him, it's either all out and hurt himself or nothing (when we take it away). I have such a strange dog :lmao:

Wow! That must be one fun ball! We have a ball that kind of rolls around on its own. The puppy likes it, but it inevitably ends up banging around in a corner when he is done with it. Always takes me a few minutes to figure out WTH that knocking noise is!

Jo Dee is almost 5 years old. She is sweet and loving. She is a bit goofy, but we love her so. She is my avitar.

Everyone's pics are great.

The wine story was too funny. A little scary, but funny.

My Boxer, Bubblegum, digs into drywalls. Our last house I would leave the dogs in the hallway that led to the garage and our bedroom. Well, Bubblegum started digging into the drywall and the final straw was when she dug right where the outlet was. :scared1: So during the day I now kennel her. She even dug into the walls in my sons room. We would patch one up and another would appear.

We have moved into a new house and she has done it a couple of times here, luckily not all the way through at least.

Any one else's dog do this?

I've always been a cat person, so I'll start with my youngest fur-baby, Luna. She LOVES baskets, boxes, and pretty much anything that she can squeeze herself into:

And here's Cupcake and Luna; Cupcake is 7 years old, her mom was a purebred husky who got off her chain one day and ended up with 8 pups and no idea who dad was ;) This picture shows the reason why my bed sometimes doesn't get made in the morning:

And here's an obligatory shot of my brother's rescue dog, half poodle half lhasa apso (LhasaDoodle). Her name is Reason (we have no idea why):

Cute pics! Reason is adorable and I like the name a lot, actually!

Hi JM,

Not drywall (that's scary, not to mention dangerous) but my 1st rottie Smidge used to like to gnaw on wood. The unfinished, attached to the house kind. She chewed through the top step at my mom's & nibbled a nice hole in the futon frame.

I wonder if Bubblegum might be bored? Amber will lick her elbows & flanks out of boredom. Between the Kong & the puzzle toys (things like the I-Qube or squirrels in a stump where the dog has to work for the treat) she's busy enough now during the day where she leaves her elbows alone.

In the meantime, crating is a good idea!

I've been meaning to respond to this, tazgirl.

Was on PB this morning so thought I'd pull up some pictures for you. This was how some of my dogs' colors "evolved".

I'm curious to find out if this is his final color...it appears that he has more brown coming in around his face though...he used to be a lot darker (as you can sorta tell with his 7 wk old pic) but I am happy with his color. I just didn't want him all black (even though I would love him no matter his color) :hug:He has finally gotten the all brown tummy and under his tail (top of the tail is black) so Im guessing he will probably have the blanket instead of the saddle for his color (on his back) but I have read that the color can change up to two years of age :confused3

You can see they lightened up quite a bit!

(Gosh, I still miss my other two so much...)

OT but my neighbor's house was ransacked/robbed the other day during the daytime.

I'm still a little nervous here "alone" but I sure am glad I have my girl here with me. :)

wish i knew how to post pics of my dogs on here....when i hit the link to insert photos it asks for URL link...don't have a clue after that.

These are my two little guys...

Capone is on the left and Rocky is on the right. Both from the local animal shelter. I love my boys to pieces.

Very hard to tell in pictures, but i've always thought that Capone had a sleek face / body more like a panther :cool2:

while Rocky (until his weight loss recently) was more like a butterball with a panda bear face :goodvibes
