Ok, so this is Petey Joe (named for his Great Grandpapa Joe whom his Mommy loved more than anyone ever in the world ). He turned 7 on Tax Day!

And this is not my pet, but it's somebody's dog, and I'd say that's one talented dog (sorry it's blurry, but he was moving pretty fast)

My dearest Casey on her last day. This was one year ago tomorrow. She is sadly missed

She's just beautiful As are all of these precious babies.

I've never had a pet as long as I've had my Petey. I see him starting to show signs of middle age lately...he's slowing down a LOT and he's got a bit of a limp at times Our walks are shorter, especially is warmer weather and he lets most squirrels off with a warning these days.

I know it's still several years off but I'll be a blubbering mess when his time to cross the bridge comes. I can only hope I'm strong enough to see my baby boy safely to the other side as so many of you have. I don't know how you do it.

This is Miss Amberini Linguini, Rescue Rottie Supreme. She's in her favorite spot, flat & folded in front of the stove...hoping that I'll trip over her & drop something:

And here's one of my favorites from when my son was tiny. Our first attempt at Christmas Christmas card photos and proof that Rottweilers are just wonderful with children. We couldn't get our little guy to cooperate but Amber was a supermodel the whole time :

Ugh. I know what you mean. Bandit is getting white around the face and limps sometimes. He still wants to fetch like a puppy, but we have to stop him or else he'll end up limping. I just can't imagine life without him. To ALL of those who have had their pets pass on.
