1) People trying to see how much skin they can expose, without getting arrested.
2) People talking loudly being obnoxious during rides, i.e. Small World, Pirates, Splash, Haunted Mansion.
3) Video taping rides with Cell Phones.
4) Flash Photography.
5) Brazilian Tour Groups.

I'm surprised that people who use fastpasses late didn't make your list. You must be really passionate about these 5 then.

Just having a little fun. ;) :goodvibes

{RANT}

10) ITALIAN PEOPLE!!! They INFURIATE me. If you think the tour groups are bad... my goodness, loud, obnoxious and downright rude italians are 10X worse. Believe me. I don't like to stereotype, but going on what I saw, there was maybe 10-20% of italians that I could see behaving well.

Racists who feel like as long as it's not a traditionally opressed people they're allowed to say whatever they want is my pet peeve.... AS an Italian.

Have you ever thought what that would sound like if you replaced Italian with BLACK?

10) BLACK PEOPLE!!! They INFURIATE me. If you think the tour groups are bad... my goodness, loud, obnoxious and downright rude blacks are 10X worse. Believe me. I don't like to stereotype, but going on what I saw, there was maybe 10-20% of blacks that I could see behaving well.

You seem pretty racist now don't you? Maybe even feel bad? But because we Italians aren't traditionally an opressed people you feel like you can just say whatever you want. Let's try it again with Jewish?

10) JEWISH PEOPLE!!! They INFURIATE me. If you think the tour groups are bad... my goodness, loud, obnoxious and downright rude jews are 10X worse. Believe me. I don't like to stereotype, but going on what I saw, there was maybe 10-20% of jews that I could see behaving well.

Again, seems horribly racist no? Maybe you should learn to think before you open your mouth or put hands to keyboard. From what I can see 100% of Squidgyness' LOVE to stereotype but are one of those people who say things like "Believe me. I don't like to stereotype" or "no offense intended but" to mask their true hatered and bigotry. This is a Disney board, there are usually if not always kids here, they don't need another place to learn this insanity...

{/END RANT}

Anyway back on a decidely more Disney topic my only real pet peeve at Disney World is the god awfull hat in Hollywood Studios. I'd like to SEE that theatre that they took so long to replicate, but nooooooo.....

- People who pluralize a word using an apostrophy in front of the "s" at the end of a word. It's, "7 kittens," - not, "7 kitten's."

Or people who don't know how to spell apostrophe? Just havin' fun with ya'. The apostrophe thing drives me bananas too! My daughter and I have toyed with the idea of carrying a Sharpie in our purses to correct this in grocery stores and on signs.

1 - Line cutters. Let's just stop this behavior when you see it happening folks and not promote it in any way. "Excuse me, excuse me. I need to catch up with my family up there." No. Actually you don't. If they were okay with leaving you behind then they'll be okay with you waiting for them at the exit with the Fast Passes you decided to go get while they held a spot in line for you. Sorry. (I flat out refuse to allow these people past me)

2 - People that stop suddenly and seem to think they are the only ones in the park. Yep. That'd be me that just slammed into you becuase you stopped on a dime right in front of me. How ya doin? How about you buy me dinner before you try to get that acquainted?

3 - Flash Photography on a dark ride. People... learn what your ISO settings are for your camera. I'm having a hard time picking you out in the crowd since I have green flash spots in my vision. Thanks. ;)

4 - Unruly kids. Parents out there at Disney parks.... your kid is not my kid. Please keep them off of my backpack on the floor by my feet. Off of my arm while on a bus because I really don't want your child's sweat on me (bumping into me is one thing, but laying on me is another). And yes, this is Disney but does your child have to run around the restaurant screaming at the top of their lungs? No.

5 - Barley there clothing. No. My family does not need to see every square inch of your body. Yes. That outfit is in fact painted on you.

6 - Photo Bombers. If you see someone taking a picture, and there is way more room to walk behind them, please walk in that area. Not in the 3 or 4 feet gap between the camera and the subject of the photo.

7 - Line kings/Queens. These people stand in a line that may have a wider queue than most (Like PotC) and try their best to stand "broad" because they just know that you're trying to cut in front of them. They keep giving you dirty looks and if you shuffle your feet they dart to the side to keep you back where you belong. Buddy, I don't want to be in front of you. But I'm 6'5" 280lbs. If you keep campaining for this *** whoopin, you're gonna get elected.

When people think my dad and I are not father and daughter but rather dating! I am 15 but look around 20 and he is 35 but looks around 25 so it's understandable, but still always quite awkward when cast members ask us if this is our first trip as a couple, etc :lmao:

omg something like that happens to me all the time, but thinking my dad's my grandfather. I'm 23 and look 16 (worse when i get to disney ill have braces for my jaw surgery!) and my dad is 65. They always say Oh its so nice you brought your grandfather along! so I look around trying to see who they're talking to. its me.....or i get people asking when i graduate high school.. well i finish my masters next year...

Maybe it's because we were there is Sept. and there were no crowds, or maybe because it was our first trip, or possibly because I am so used to Six Flags that I was mesmerized by all things Disney but there was nothing that really annoyed me :cool1:

Yep

If I had to pick something??? Probably the lack of decent kids meals.

Hey, my wife, who is 41 years old, still gets suckers at the bank drive though. :lmao::lmao:

As an Italian , I take offense to this , maybe you should be more tolerant of people , did you ever think maybe you infuriate some people . Any race not just specific ones can be annoying well it be Brazilian or Italian. Get a large group of people together mix teens in with them and I dont care what nationality they are someone will be annoyed with their behavior. But to negatively group all of us ITALIAN PEOPLE as being rude, is Ignorant on your part and sad to see that you must like to sterotype because clearly you just did.:sad2:

As a Italian, I laughed at it. :) I get the gist of what the poster was saying. I was surprised at the Brazilian Group accusations went unchallenged, but I guess there would be more Italian (Americans) on the forums than Brazilian natives to defends themselves.

Last year we dined in Italy in Epcot. When I told the CR my (Italian) last name for the ADR, she scolded me, "YOU'RE SAYING IT WRONG!"

I laughed and just told her the correct pronunciation was bred out about three generations ago, so it wasn't my fault. :)

My biggest pet peeve is the people that come to Disney, knowing it's gonna be hot, knowing that they are going to be around ALOT of people and don't wear any kind of Deotorant. I understand that some cultures in other countries (and some in the US) don't wear any, but for Goodness sake, please use it while your at Disney.

I think it all boils down to those who are self-absorbed and not aware of others around them. This covers line cutters, ankle attackers, those who block pathways, etc.

[-People who walk right in front of you when trying to take a picture.

Ha Ha, we had a woman do this to us twice at the Lego Store, we ended up laughing with her about it and made her get in a picture to pose with us.

- People that walk way to slow, either walk or get out of the way
- People who wear ponchos or don't want to get wet on water rides

Seriously, because somebody walks at a different speed than you they should have to move aside? And seriously, you have a problem with other people wearing ponchos on water rides? This affects you how? You need to learn to chill a bit.

2) With regards to #1, people who feel the need to spray sickly perfume over everyone in the vicinity, I'll take BO instead of choking any day.

Spraying ANYTHING in the middle of a crowd is just so wrong. I didn't choose to wear your particular brand of perfume, sunscreen or even get misted by your water mister. Show some respect to those around you and get out of the crowd to spray yourself with whatever it is you feel the need to spray. This is definitely among my top pet peeves.

Oh and as an aside, I recently went to Malta for a week and would add...

I think this is a great example of where the term "Ugly American" came from. When travelling to another country, it's important to research their customs and mores. Chances are, you were actually violating many of their customs in their country and disrespecting them on a regular basis. If you understood the customs then you likely wouldn't have seen the people as rude and likely wouldn't have been offending the locals on a regular basis, which I'm guessing you were. I'm not sure why somebody would spend all that money to go to another country without understanding the culture.

7. People cramming themselves onto packed buses, then expecting others to give them their seats. Just wait for the next bus, if the bus is full and you don't want to stand.

TOTALLY agree with this. I've never understood why it's my responsibility to make sure that people who MAKE THE DECISION to get on a standing room only bus have a seat. It's YOUR choice people.

I think it all boils down to those who are self-absorbed and not aware of others around them. This covers line cutters, ankle attackers, those who block pathways, etc.

Said another way, everyone should have the thought process of, will my actions possibly affect the enjoyment of others in a negative way.

So you don't like line cutters or those that prevent you from getting past them? :confused3 I understand that POTC is a fill in all available space type queue, but it still seems like a contradiction.

I had the exact same thought.

Quite the opposite. My family is totally aware of you. Here's how we plan. The formation differs based on the size of our Group:

- We use Grandma in the scooter as a Offensive Center. She leads.
- Strollers on either side of her act as our Offensive Tackles, or as you call them "ankle attackers."
- If we have pre-teen/teen girls, they complete the line outside the strollers as Offensive Guards. They're not quite as offensive as the strollers, but they form groups which are hard to break up, so they can move people who weren't displaced by our strollers.
- We use a teenage boy as our Wide Receiver. He goes long, and shouts back if one path is more open than another.
- The rest of the family just follows behind...

That's my offensive strategy designed to move from the front gate to the Castle. Now what's your defensive strategy to counter it? :thumbsup2

(it you can't tell, I just messing around. :))

We're probably guilty of ankle slashing with strollers, but it's accidental. And since the alternative is to be the one with the trampled kid (2 year olds don't move to fast: see the woman arrested thread...), I try to turn the other cheek and laugh when I'm ankle slashed.

Although I have a list of pet peeves, they really don't bother me too much anymore other than just a minor temporary inconvenience at the time. I might let out a brief sigh and then move on. They mostly evolve around the self-aborbing behavior that many have mentioned on this thread. My DW has taught me to relax and not let them bother me as they will always be there. Not going to change that so it's how you deal with it that determines how much you will enjoy your vacation.

That said, here are my "bigger" pet peeves that I'm still learning to deal with.

1. People who visit WDW and return only to complain about the crowds, heat, prices, etc. (I typically just ignore these comments anymore rather than try to use logic).

2. Repeat guests who do not acknowledge all the positives that Disney has done over the years and only focus on the minor things that they miss such as no more package room delivery service, etc. (I wish I could avoid the car-wreck style threads. I need to learn to just move on.)

3. Resort snobs (We love all the resorts whether it's the All-Stars or the Poly!).

4. Disney buses! Sorry, these seem to be a haven for guests with rude behavior. Not to mention that they are generally a very slow means of transportation. (We just rent a car anymore. Our last trip was very enjoyable not having to use buses!!)
