I've got full size images of some of these, so let me know if you want to use any. These aren't all the best shots I have, but the one of our tortie at the top left is pretty good...
I'm rolling right along with this project - I'd say I'm halfway there with setting it up.
There were so many photos, that I couldn't justify leaving just one pet on each calendar month, so I decided to just have one photo a bit larger than the others in the center (a "featured" pet), with the pet's name underneath, and photos of other pets arranged around.
I'd have to go through and check, but it looks like at LEAST 75% of the pets in the calendar were rescues of some kind (either directly, from a shelter, or from another person who had to give their pet up). I'm so proud!
In a very large part, this calendar is thanks to all of you - I couldn't have done it without you. Thanks so much.
I can not wait to see the finish project. I have loved looking at this thread & seeing all the cute furry faces!! So cute.
Please let us know when it is complete. I would be more the happy to buy one.
I have many good pictures of him (including one in a Christmas stocking) that I would love to contribute to your project.
We rescued him when he was about 3 months old. We found him in our back yard, shivering. Those marks on his nose are gone now, but we suspect he was attacked by another much larger cat that belonged to some neighbors that frequently ate out of our garbage. We don't know who he belonged to but he is our little angel. All my pictures are 6 Megapixel shots from a Digital Rebel.
Here's some of Myra - she's a 4yr old purebred boxer that was a rescue. We got her when she was 2. I have full sized versions of these pics if you want to use any of them
The "mom can I PLEASE lick the cake?" pic....
The "omg I can't believe mom did this to me" Halloween pic.....
I also have to share this pic- I don't own it and don't know who originally took the pic as it was shared on several rescue forums I belong to so I wouldn't use it in the calendar - but "Monkey" as he was named is hysterical - I have never seen such a bizzare looking puppy - he was supposed to be half Chinese crested (the naked dog) and half Japanese Chin. What a mix!
This one isn't calendar-worthy, but I thought you all might find it amusing. It's of my kitty Rowan and was taken right after I'd gotten a camera phone; apparently, he was as interested in the new phone as I was.
Here's another one that is great- this was a pic I took when I managed a local shelter - we named the kitten Nermal She was a doll. She went to a great home!
(I have the pic w/o the text on it too - this one was already up on my website.)
