Pet Lovers: Remember the Pet Calendar??

Totally!! I guess Spencer is a stud after all...(as Fozzie bear laughs...) (bad joke...) :rotfl2:

Here is a pic of our sweet Prissy. She just died on December 28th. We miss her. We adopted her as a kitten from the Humane Society just about 7 years ago.

Maybe I missed something.. what are the calendars for and when will they be out? I bet I can get a lot of friends and neighbor animal lovers to order them. :teeth:

This is going to be for a 2006 calendar...I will probably have it all together sometime this spring and begin to sell them. If you know anyone else who wants to contribute a photo...or buy the calendar... ;) The more the merrier!

Here's my original post to this thread:

I'm attempting to put together a calendar for 2006, with photos of different pets (rescued or otherwise).

Once the calendar is put together, I'm hoping to sell it to raise funds for an organization called Desert Paws (see www.desertpaws.org).

If you're interested in contributing a photo, please let me know - you can post your pet photos here, with the name, age, breed and whether or not the pet is a rescued pet.

Either that, or email a photo to me at

cookiegvb@yahoo.com

Thanks, everyone!

Here are a couple more pictures of Beaker, he is a 4 month old Ragdoll. We got him from a breeder.

Well, DH was unhappy that I only included Prissy's picture. So here are two more of our loveable felines:

noelsmaller3rd.jpg

Noel - We think she is a Japanese Bobtail. We adopted her about 6 years ago from the Humane Society.

Bailey - Our first cat. He's 8 years old. We got him from a petstore. He's the best cat ever!

I love all these kitties :) Such cute faces.. and the dogs are all so pretty! Any odd animals other then dogs and cats? Has anyone else submited a horse?

Apache is the only horse so far. :) We also have guinea pigs, ferrets and parrots.

No lizards or fish yet, either. ;)

You need some fish! Although I don't think they are very photogenic.. I tried once, I got a gold blob.. :flower:

My friend has a TREMENDOUS cyclid - I need to get her to clean the tank first, and then take his picture...without the flash! :)

OK, here's one of my fishies (an African cichlid), though he's not a rescue. Since this pic was taken, he got together with another one of my cichlids, one who has vertical stripes. When she had the babies, they came out with what almost looks like a perfect grid pattern on their sides--both horizontal and vertical stripes! They're too cute. I'll add a pic if I can get a decent one of them.

What a cool fish!!!!!!!! :earseek:

Thanks! He's one of the reasons I decided to get cichlids in the first place: 'cause they're so darn purty. :) In addition to him, I've also got the 3 babies, who are kinda baby blue with dark blue stripes, a jewel cichlid who's lemon yellow with what looks like highlights or "sparklies" on his scales (hence the name--he almost glitters in the light) and a bright red underbelly, and 2 orange ones, one of whom is named Nemo. Oh, and 2 smallish emerald catfish, who don't do much but hang out together on the bottom of the tank (but they are absolutely inseparable; it's kinda cute, really.)

Here's one of my chinchilla, Chilly.

and I couldn't resist adding this one of my cats, Taz and Emma.

We rescued an iguana that would have died if we didn't rescue it....from a garage sale, nonetheless. Would you like a pic of her?
