Dawn - beautiful pictures! the kids look great and the doggies are so cute (we have three, a golden and two pound pups, the smallest is a jack russell/chihuahua mix we think) - hope your dad is feeling/doing better. It's hard being a caretaker for a parent and from your reports, he has been through alot. Hope your feeling better too!

They were talking about this story on one of our local radio stations this morning on my way to work! They were making some really funny jokes, but how scary!!! I guess her mug shot does not look good since she didn't make the hair appointment.

How old were you when you moved? If older, I bet you met your share of tourists that tried to sweep you off your feet!!!

I only left when I went to college, and my parents still live there, which makes for nice vacations! I don't know about being swept off my feet, but all my college friends always wanted to visit my parents with me!

Kizzy has gotten so big since these were taken - 1 month ago!! Her ears almost always stand up now.

Aww I'm sorry, I hope they stay at least a little bit floppy as she gets older. I love my puppy's ears they are so expressive!

Hi Dawn, I hope you're feeling better today. Your Key West updates have been great so far... really makes me want to go there someday! I wanted to let you know that, by popular demand, I'll be making your NutterRoos again this weekend. The friends that I made them for last time are coming over for DH's birthday, and have told me in no uncertain terms that there must be NutterRoos. So I shall oblige. But I wanted to let you know just how much of a hit they are with our group of friends... I don't think I'll ever be able to go anywhere again without taking a batch.

I love all your Key West pics! I actually just got back from spending a week there last night! We were down there attending a friends wedding and had an absolute blast. We stayed in a condo that was just a few blocks from Fort Zach - what a beautiful beach! Also had a great time each night down on Duval and at Mallory Square. Can't wait to hear how the rest of your time there was.

kirrrby-I just saw you live in Havelock. I'm from Raleigh, but every year (except my senior year, but don't get me started) my band travelled to Havelock for the band competition. It was my absolute favorite one all season! Just kinda wanted to say hi neighbor

Where did you stay?? Thanks for the kind words - I wish I could promise a last updat on Key West today but I am not thinking so...

I love the Key West updates! It's one of my favorite places, after DW of course! My niece turns 21 next June and we've been talking about taking her there for her birthday. I think it'll be a wonderful place to turn 21. I'm always surprised by Margaritaville there though. I've been in a bunch of them and while the one in Key West has the best food, it's kind of dumpy. I thought that one would be nicer. Oh well, the atmosphere is great and so is the food.

I gotta go off topic and brag on my daughter for a minute. She was just named Teacher of The Year at her school. I'm very, very proud of her. She's a special ed speech teacher and truely loves her kids. The teachers without their own classrooms don't usually get the award, so I'm even more proud of her!

I'm actually from Durham. But my boyfriend is stationed there and we're moving there in Sept after his deployment.

Carsyn and one of her best friends, Sophie. The 2 couples went to dinner together (Outback Steakhouse,) then bowling, then dropped into the dance and finally back to Sophie's to watch a movie! She was home by 3 a.m. and had a fun, low key evening.

A ton of kids went to all night parties but she knows that often means alcohol and wanted to stay away from that if at all possible.

****She had an interview on Friday with a salon she is trying to work at and was asked what she was most proud of in her accomplishments. She answered not succumbing to peer pressure to drink in order to have fun. Then she was worried that it was not something with school etc., but the interviewer told her that she liked Carsyn's answer best to that because it was personal and it showed leadership. Hopefully it will help her get the job.

Baylor and his posse look like they were having a blast. He's in middle school right? Yup 8th grade awkward but so fun! Their are twins in the girls group photo - he has "gone out" with both. They all danced together and have been friends since he was 3. When he was 4 he asked, "If I marry one twin, does the other one have to marry me too?" We all about died laughing. Like it was a buy one get one deal!!! Such a fun age.
