No lie, the past 4 times I have eaten there they have been rude, the food has been cold AND my order has been messed up.

I didn't get a pic as they were flushing it - because it spread back open and it was gross!

She got tackled hard and then more girls got her down and our best guess is that one person's knee hit the head. It happened right in front of me and I never saw how it happened. She laid there and I thought she just got leveled and lost her breath, then saw her grab her head, go up to her knees, then back down. Then she tried to stand up with her coaches help and blood was everywhere. At first we couldn't tell where she got hurt.

She could not remember even carrying the ball right after it happened so they ran a CT to make sure it was just soft tissue swelling and she is fine minus the headache today.

I have been reading you TR and love it! I see that your son is in college in South Carolina and also that you mentioned Anderson. I hope that is Anderson College. I work in Anderson about 5 minutes from the college! It's so nice to see somebody on here from my area! Does he like it here?? I have lived here all of my life, but I wouldn't move anywhere else. a quick MRI and a prescription for klonopin later, and i was feelin fine!! lol

Not lurking, I've only just got on to this thread so I have lots of reading to do!! Have read a couple of pages and thought I would post to let you know I've subbed (I know you hate lurkers).

There is only one downside to this and other excellent trip reports - the family think I am mad when I sit there in the evening laughing my head off at a computer screen.

I try to stay away from fast food because truthfully, I do not need it...but I have never had Popeye's!!

Yeah, I try that too. But on a student budget consisting of government loans....it's just not easy to eat right. I cook when I can, but with assignments and exams and essays, McDonalds looks pretty good..... And I'm not much of a McDees girl either. But their coffee is like CRACK to me. Just what I need during exam periods.

Popeye's has really juicy chicken, and their spicy chicken is really good too.

I'll be waiting for the message from Carysn!

And so sorry about everything that happened with with your dad. My father was in a nursing home for right at 5 years before we lost him in July last year. He fought MS for 41 long years. Let me tell you, you HAVE to stay on top of folks that are taking of your loved ones in these situations. My mom and I had to get pretty ugly on occasion to get things done or corrected. That said, there are some people who have a true gift for working with patients. When those folks came along it was like a little piece of heaven and everyone was happy. So I am going to keep you and your dad in my prayers, and hopefully one of the nice ones will come along soon and make your experience with the PT a very distant memory.

Corbin, Kentucky...home of the original (well technically next to the original since the original is gone) KFC.

You were in my dh's neck of the woods! He's from about 20 minutes past Corbin up 25E (the road you took to get on the interstate if you got on at Exit 29) I told him you stopped there and took pictures of the KFC and I got a look and he asked "why?"

His family still lives up there and we are there several times a year but I have never managed to get to that KFC. His opinion is that it isn't any good because it doesn't have a buffet (or it didn't last time he went) and the one in his town does.

If you come back through in October, you should stop for the Daniel Boone festival - homemade southern cooking (including chicken and dumplings and pinto beans with cornbread) sold by the local churches, masons, and other groups as well as the beauty contest, parade, car show and carnival rides. Small town at its finest!

You managed my hometown and my dh's all in this trip!
