I am in the process of creating a welcome basket for each of our kids to place in our room when we check in(I will sneak them in before everyone gets into the room so it will look like it was left by their favorite Disney character). I am a huge fan of personalization but not a big crafty person. I would like for most of the items in the basket to be personalized. Does anyone know the best way to personalize a rain poncho? I am just thinking about adding each childs name and some small decoration unique to them.

I would also love items on what else to put in the basket. Right now I am thinkings:

1) Custom M&M & Mentos containers for penny press machines(thanks Mandy
2) T-Shirt - I will get the designs from one of the great Disdesigners
3) Personal Mister fan - plan to personalize these
4) Candy - I am thinking a small bag of their favorites for each day we will be at Disney
5) Rain Poncho

Any other suggestions would be welcome.

I am putting together welcome bags for our group for October. My inlaws and a friend and her hubby are joining us for my twin boys' 3rd birthday. For the grownups, I am adding some things that will helpful for them helping with the kids like stickers, sunscreen, ponchos, hand sanitizer and wipes. Also, I got boxes of Disney band aids, some neosporin and basic 1st aid type meds like tummy, pain relief, ect and put together 1st aid kits for each couple.

For the kids I have Cars PJs (we are staying in AoA in cars section) plus Disney tattoos (party store) and target $1 section glow sticks and glow necklaces. I also have little things to surprise them with each morning like toy cars, new hats, etc. I've been scouring the $1 bins, clearances, etc for trinkets and souvenirs and am stocking up as I find them. I figure spending $10 on $1 bin glows ticks around 4th of July is better than buying them there.

I have personalized disposable water bottles before and it's very easy. Just get fun scrapbook paper or print something on the computer, tear off the label and put on your own. Personalizing reusable water bottles wouldn't be too hard either.

They're one of my favorite things to personalize because you're using them all day.

One thing I have done in the past is take basic clear plastic pens that you can find at the dollar store or wherever and make them colorful. Take some scrapbook paper and roll it up, shove it in the tube (open the cap first), and voila!

Hope this helps!
