Yep, I saw that too. My friend (another DISer who is getting a brick too) and I were talking about it yesterday. The way I take it they could put the brick in for one day (one minute, whatever) then remove it for any reason, and there is nothing we can do about it. It's a risk, so I can totally understand one not wanting to pay $300 without knowing what will happen. But, I think for some of us it's just worth the risk!![]()

What is everyone else saying on their bricks? I am stuck! Our names are short (all only 5 letters) but I want it to be special!
I called this morning, just to talk with a real person about this offer and the man who answered the phone said that they do NOT have new bricks for sale....anyone else heard this?
Is it a case of someone answering the phone who doesn't know about the new sale or are they truly no longer available?
Yeah, I'm probably over-reacting (as usual). It's just that I look at contracts like this for my job, and I'd never let my company sign off on such a totally one-sided agreement.
I guess in this case, though, if Disney really did put a brick out there then toss it into the Seven Seas Lagoon the next day and resell that space, pretty soon word would get around and no one would buy the bricks any more. So it'd still be a losing strategy for them.
Realistically, I was just disappointed about the loss of the 10-year guarantee, especially given the higher price - it's still more than double the old price, even inflation adjusted.
But I've left this one up to DW. If she wants to do it, we'll do it. I had to make the DVC decision, so I've left this one in her hands.![]()
I'm not sure. People have charges going through on their credit cards so I hope he's wrong. Otherwise everyone is getting scammed...

This is our final decision and it's what I'll be faxing in soon:
The Brown Ohana
John & Terry
Craig and Robby
Just thought of something.... doesn't the word "Ohana" really look like this" 'Ohana?? Does it have the apostraphe in front of it? Good thing I haven't faxed it in yet! LOL
EDITED TO ADD: It does! It's 'Ohana.... Now the question is, should I add in the apostrophe or not? People will understand what the word is whether I include it or not... and there is space on the line to include it... Hmm...what would all of you do? Even though we are Irish, I don't want anyone to think we meant to say"O'hana" and that it is part of our name and is Irish!! LOL

Always being slightly skeptical, when I got the email with the docs I inspected the e-mail. I'm an IT pro who has been doing e-mail far longer than most of you knew about e-mail.
Everything about the e-mail indicates it is legit. It arrived on my mail server from an IP belonging to Disney, and all the internal addresses belong to Disney as well (although they could have been forged).
And one other thing...credit card seemed to be the only choice of paying, and you could always dispute it...
That's really nice. BTW...CONGRATULATIONS. Wishing you both a wonderful wedding at Disney and a fabulous life together. You know we want to see pictures of the wedding don't you?

I'm really bad at this kind of stuff. Oh well, I already had faxed it in last night. I hope our bricks are close together.

Does anyone know what's included on the bricks by default? Is it just a serial number, or is there also a date or something like that?
