I got the message too, I left my telephone number have they called anyone back or should I try until I get a live person or leave my email address?

I've wanted one of these in the worst way ever since our first family trip in 2000. What's the number?

Always ;-)

We have one in front of MK and check it each year and still there since 1994.It is in low traffic area since they set up new check points before you get to MK main entrance on right. We are happy it is still there. When we got it the contract said after 10 years contract would be considered complete and could be removed.Hope to see it is still there on this December trip.I think it is great they have reopened the program so many more can get a brick.:goodvibes Danny PS our brick is number is E02211

I called and talked to them but have not recvd the emailed application.
I tried calling back but got the recorded message.
how long did it take you guys to get the application?

ps...remember everyone...they are now $295 per brick.

I think I read on the paperwork from the brick we got in 1995 that they are guarenteed for 10 years or something....

I hope that doesn't mean that they will remove the old ones to make way for the new... pirate:

Well I'm torn as to what to do. I purchased Leave A Legacy tiles for each of my 3 nieces when I took them to WDW for their 16th birthday. Now it's my nephew's turn and I'm taking him in October but I heard that they will stop selling Leave A Legacy tiles in June. I feel bad that his older sisters have them and he won't.

Now I hear about the Brick program coming back which got me excited, until I heard the price....$295:eek:

The cost of the 3 Leave A Legacy tiles that I've already purchased combined don't total that much.

Well I guess I'll decide what to do when the time comes in October.

Well, here's my two cents on the subject: We purchased the brick back in October 1994. We are in front of the MK guest relations area, but off the beaten path. Because of the new security measures, our brick doesn't get much foot traffic, and the way they keep re-configuring the bus stops, less and less foot traffic!
Anyway, the rules back then were, If your brick was damaged during the 10 year "warranty" period, they would replace it. Ours, in fact, had a huge gouge in it around 2000, and we reported it and it was replaced. The fact at the time was when the 10 year period was over, and your brick was damaged, and needed to be replaced, you would lose your spot. There were no rules, that I can recall, that would allow you to re-purchase your brick after the 10 year period. The new rules sound like if our brick is damaged now, we can replace it for $100. Sounds like a good deal to me. Of course, we lived in N.J. when we purchased the original brick, so if we have to replace it, we would probably change our home address info.

In retrospect, we figured Disney had another "winner", {for them} having guests pay to replace the resort sidewalks!

I called and left a message. The announcement hasn't changed yet - it still says they stopped selling in 2000.

I've wanted one of these after we visited with DD#1 the first time...but they had stopped selling them, even though there are plenty of blank spots still.

Hi Danny! I got so excited when I heard they were reponening this program. The person I spoke to over the phone was so enthusiastic about it. Aparently, they have been pushing this for a while. He emailed me the paperwork to me within a few hours. I ordered a second brick for my younger daughter. Now she won't feel left out. Hopefully, they won't lose this one ;)

subscribing.....

I might lose my mind and part with the $$$ one day. I really would like to have one, but the price is about $100 more than I would ever want to spend on it. Maggie

I am going to call tomorrow morning and get an application mailed to me. This will make a great Christmas present from my 2 teenage DD's for our Christmas 2007 trip to the World.

KyleRayner,

Try calling the Leave a Legacy people. Maybe you can get a tile BEFORE your trip by sending in a photo. I'm sure someone can direct you who to talk to.

Good luck

Just tried calling the (407) 824-7890 number, and got the recorded message saying they stopped selling the bricks in July, 2000. Left my information anyway, REALLY hope they call back!

My DH and I honeymooned there in 1997, and I wanted one then but we forgot all about it. I'd love to get one now for our 10 year anniversary.

Hopefully I'll hear from someone soon!

I left my phone number and e-mail address yesterday, and got e-mailed the paperwork this morning! Even the paperwork says the program stopped in July 2000, which seems strange - why would they put that on the paperwork itself? But it has the new prices.

I wonder what the turnaround time is? Will it be in place by our July trip?

i left a message on the machine at 407 824 7890
this would be so much fun to have done !!
now i have to think about what i would have written on a brick if i get 1
i'm going next week and will be looking at everyones to see what they have on it

I just called and left a message, same old message at this time. I would love to do this for our Sept trip for DS 1st bday! Hope to hear more soon!:goodvibes

Their computer geek probably couldn't figure how to get the old info out of the program!.....:lmao:

Do you mind sharing the email address? Maybe if I email a request for an application, I'll hear from them quicker.

Can you tell I'm really, REALLY, anxious?!? :)

I just emailed the general address on Sat. asking about bricks at MK and got this back, not that I believe it! ;)
Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.

DISNEY'S WALK AROUND THE WORLD is comprised of more than 60,000 bricks
that encircle the Seven Seas Lagoon near the MAGIC KINGDOM Park. Each
brick, prepared under Disney guidelines, carries a name or is in some
other way personalized by Disney guests. The WALK AROUND THE WORLD
program was completed as of July 16, 2000. If you are interested in
becoming part of Walt Disney World, please see LEAVE A LEGACY at Epcot.

Thank you for expressing an interest in our Leave a Legacy program. Two
types of tiles are available, faces (1 or 2 people per image) and
graphic/text tile. The cost is $25.00 for the first tile and $20.00 for
each additional tile. The photograph for the "face" tile must be taken
at Epcot (unfortunately an image from a picture is not possible);
however, the graphic/text tile can be purchased by phone, mail or
e-mail.

A maximum of 2 images or a graphic/text image can appear on one tile.
Multiple tiles can be placed on the sculpture as a group (together) and
graphic/text and photos are placed in a group. Different types of
graphic tiles are available to choose from. The most popular is the
border tile that allows up to 6 lines of type with 10 spaces per line.

The transfer process for the image or the graphic/text to be taken,
developed and added to the sculpture is 8 - 12 weeks. Guests will
receive a certificate by mail with the printed image or the graphic/text
and its location on the sculpture within 3 to 4 weeks.

For further information, please to call Leave A Legacy at (407) 560-7235
or e-mail to: wdw.ec.legacy@disney.com

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact
us.

Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number if
applicable on all correspondence.

Thank you!
