Where did you actually get the paperwork? My 2 DDs & I will be there in July & I would love to do this for our Family Anniversary.
Thanks,

I always wanted to get a brick but we passed because we knew we were going to have a child and wanted him to be included.

I missed out but would love to know about getting one.

We did 2 sets of Leave a Legacy though, one set before our son was born and one after.

I wish I had seen that they were reselling bricks when we were there a couple of weeks ago! My husband and I were saying while we were there we wished we could have gotten one since we were there celebrating our 1 yr anniversary. We did do a leave a legacy tile at least. I would love to hear more info if you have it!

Wow.. they were like 99$ in 1995.. Gotta hate inflation :)

I would really like more information about this ... I would love to buy a brick.
Is there a current phone number or address we would write to in order to get the application?
Thanks

I was getting excited and begrudging that $99.00 in the worst way (but I was still going to Pony up).....imagine my horror when I heard $295.00!!!!!  :lmao:

Hey all - ok here is my story and I am sticking to it....

In March sometime between the 12th and the 16th we were at MK and noticed a sign (one of those clapboard type ones) that said something SIMILAR TO but not exactly "Walk around the World." It caught the attention of both myself and my daughter as we are avid Disney trippers and had missed out last time. This sign was located in front of the MK nearer to the bus area where you EXIT (you know where they have the barricades now). Near the sign is a kiosk small type buidling that looks like it may have been an info desk before. The building is not always open on our trips -- often the windows have posters or signs on them. Ok so we went to the building and asked about the sign and were given the sheet I described that had the prices and the agreement on the back.

It came with a postpaid envelope to Box 10000. The only phone number on the sheet was the one listed in an earlier post and when you call it you get a recording that the program ended in 2000 along with some other info but none that tells you how to get a brick now.

When we spoke to the CM in the kiosk he said they had opened back up the program and were using applications to fill areas where there were no brick IN FRONT of the MK first.

I really don't have any other information on this and personally am not going to be back in the area until August.

My husband just got off the phone and they are e-mailing him the application. He said that he was connected to the customer service desk in front of the MK and the number he used was:1-407-824-7890. (He heard the train whistle in the background and was wishing he was there:) ) He confirmed that the brick was $295.00. I am very excited! Hope this helps.:flower3:

We got our brick following our 94 Disneymoon. Curious to see if its still there this June. So am I to understand that they have re-started the Walk Around the World ? Everything I have seen previously had indicated that the WDW walk program had been completed(though I did see that they did something similar in Disneyland for the 50th). I'd love to get another brick for our family.

Any way to get one removed? I gave one to my now ex-DH as a wedding gift...has our names and wedding date on it...

$95 for a brick in 1995 - Already too expensive:eek:

$295 for a brick in 2007 - We are talking about a brick aren't we??:confused3

200% inflation in 12 years on a brick that was already overpriced in '95.:scared1:

Sorry I will pass!!

Just got off the phone with them and they are sending me the app. Yeah, $295 seems like a lot to pay for a brick, but to have our names in the walkway in front of MK is worth it to me (hope DW agrees). This would be great to have for our three kids as they grow. Two of them are already in LAL in EPCOT and the third will be there after July. I justify the brick as a memory for the kids. How much do we all spend on other memories (think photos)? JUst my opinion.:thumbsup2

For the DL brick you also got a lucite one to display at home. Does the WDW have this as well?

THanks

Yes! We were lucky enough to get one in 1995 and it's RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE MAGIC KINGDOM!!!! Here it is!

it is a lot of money but it would make a great gift !! is the link on the wdw web site anywhere ? im going to search for it-i'm sure they are closed by now its 8pm

I believe the 'name change' fee might cover this? I'd call them and ask.. I'm sure you're not the only one.

This is from our honeymoon. It is on the walkway between MK and GF near the beach area. It was there in 2003, we didn't even think to check on it this past year. I guess I'll be doing that on our next trip:thumbsup2 If they actually replace all of them I would hope we would actually get the brick:goodvibes
