So if your digits aren't on the map...do you assume you're further down the path towards GF? I'm WA17....??? :goodvibes

Remember to discard the last 3 digits of your brick number (they don't tell you anything about the placement). You may be on W1 which would be right in front of the entrance. That would be neat!

That's what I was wondering, could it be possible that we got bricks RIGHT in front of the MK since ours start with #1??

And a lot easier to get DH to see it....I couldn't figure out how to say...hey, let's WALK to GF for no reason what so ever!! Oh oh my! What's that on the ground?! Our names?! :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

I'm really excited for everyone - but it seems everyone who has worked with Dean is getting bricks - or is it my imagination??? I got my email from Denise and sent my paperwork back in via email on 5/31 - then I faxed it over as well. I have heard nothing nor has my card been charged...

Has anyone gotten an email through Denise today?

Pixie Dust, please....:goodvibes

Sure looks like it! Which is really cool. Mine is EA6 so I'm on the bus path. We'll have to make a special trip over since we're going to be renting a car on our trip.

From Allearsnet:

They have a serial number such as W00-250 or E00-250. The letter determines which *path* it is on, currently there are 3 different paths: (W)est, (E)ast, and (C)ontemporary. The numbers attatched to the letter give the *general* area on the path. The last three digits (those after the hyphen) are just unique numbers.

The bricks are not necessarily placed in numeric order. In most cases the bricks are placed so that the *W00-2xx* series are located near each other. Therefore the first 4 digits can give a very specific area of where the brick is located, within the last 2 digits, the bricks are scrambled.

So I'm guessing the "A" doesn't really mean anything. Oh, and I just thought of something too for those that were worried about the bricks being damaged. I suppose if your brick is cracked and they refuse to replace it, you could always request a "name change" for the brick. I assume that in order to change the name they have to send out for a new one!

If many of us are in section WA1 XXX, whatever happen to the bricks that were in that area? :confused3

Is anyone else having a problem with Yahoo mail, I can't get mine to open and I wnat to check my email to see if got a mssg from Dean!!!! I got charged and put my application in on the 29th, anyone else do the same ?

That's what I was trying to plan too! Wow, #1 would be amazing! Can't wait to get the map and info in the mail.

Thanks for that info Princess Stitch!

So I've never walked past the Monorail ramps towards the GF before. Is there really a pathway that goes all the way there? I thought it didn't actually connect? I need to find one of those satelite maps...

No, the pathway does not go very far at all towards the GF. You cannot walk to the GF like you can the CR.

liznboys, the walkway doesn't actually go all the way to the GF. I wish it did. It is a nice quiet stroll though.

Ohhh that reminds me...

TheyCallMeTiggs-
When you received the info via mail...did the envelope say anything about being from Disney? This is supposed to be a surprise & would hate if DH got the mail & opened it!! Also, was it addressed to the names on the brick or just the info that I would have put the "contact info" on ???

Thanks
Jen

I was wondering that also...we already have a brick since 94 that was in the WO area..unfortunately since they put ropes up right there we have not been able to see our brick. We asked one time why the ropes are down one time and back up the next time we visit...they told us there is a dispute over the security of that little exit area...the park says it's theirs and the monorail dept. says it's theirs so until they finally decide, it's closed off most of the time. That is why I thought for our 17th anniversary we should get this one...I am happy that this one is WA so it is kind of near the old one I think. :woohoo:

Thanks all!

I just did a search for Disney World on Google maps and I'm looking at a satellite map right now. I see that the path stops at the canal there where the monorail goes over. It looks like the path is made of bricks all the way to the end. Or it is brick-colored at least. Does anyone have pictures of that path?

I guess its only a certain part of the mail server(my part) and "the engineers are aware of the problem and hope to have it fixed today".
