Hi,

Are we allowed to wearing personalised message T Shirts, i.e. All 8 members of our group in the same t shirt? Nothing rude or inappropriate.

Plus matching t-shirts help pinpoint your group members if you get separated or have a wanderer (I'm the wanderer of my group haha)

We did this last year. My sister, niece and I all had matching custom tie-dye shirts we got on Etsy. Nephew had "I don't do matching shirts" in Disney font (also found on Etsy).

Heck ya you can!

Many trips we feel as though we are the only ones NOT wearing matching T's.

Side note:
There is a DISign forum here on the boards. So many great ideas and disigns that the creators will sometimes even personalize for you. If you haven't already stumbled across it I and are looking for another T idea I would highly recommend spending some time in that forum.

As long as other groups don't have the same "oh no one will use this color" idea. I have seen more than once where multiple groups had the same color shirt on and heard parents lamenting that they thought no one else would use that color so they were having to watch their wanderers the same as if they were all in different clothes.

If you have a message that all eight would wear, no big deal and you said nothing rude or inappropriate. As for the color of the shirts, someone mentioned that you will probably have the same color as another group but if the message is different, shouldn't be a problem there.

I would also advise that you think of something other than a T shirt to tell your group apart from others. I say this because my grandson and granddaughter both ran in the kids' marathon stuff and even though I knew what they were wearing, I never saw them. I would advise a necklace or hat or something along those lines plus the T shirt. You can see the color of the T shirt but maybe not the message but the T shirt color with whatever would make the pool a lot smaller.

We did this once when my kids were 12 and 10 - they complained that I was so weird and couldn't believe I was making them do that. NOW, they are 16 and 18 and want to know if I can get matching t-shirts again for us to wear for our upcoming trip? I guess it wasn't that bad!! You do get a lot of attention - so be prepared for that!

We do! In fact, one year we surprised our kids and woke them up at 5 am to take them to Disneyworld. They didn't believe us until the oldest looked at the clothes we had laid out for them and said, "Hey - they're not kidding! Those are our Disney shirts!" LOL!:teeth:

Absolutely!! I'm going next month wit my sister, Mom and Aunt. My sister is making us all go matchy, matchy :)

We do this every day, every trip. Yes, some say lame, but fortunately my family looks forward to it, and new DIL's look forward to helping design this year.

Lucky you...DW is too fashion conscious and DS14 is too teenager. Maybe I'll get a couple for me and DS6 and let those two "squares" dress themselves.

When one of our DS was in his early 20's, someone found out we dressed alike, and asked him if he didn't hate it. He looked at them blankly and said "But we are going to Disneyworld!" They have accepted it as one of our little quirks, no matter what the age!

I love the buttons also. I wore my birthday button and my celebration button and my anniversary button and even my galactic hero button. I couldn't get DW to wear the anniversary button or get DS14 to wear the birthday button. They must just be weird.

Last summer we made tie dye shirts with a mickey head on them, and we each had our name on the shirt. I couldn't believe how many people (CM's, and just random people alike) would say hello to us by name.

Oh - that's another thing - if you have smaller kids, you might not want to put their name on the shirt if you are afraid of others calling them by name. Some parents are that way, some aren't but wanted to agree with the above quote that you will have strangers "greeting" you by name.

Yes, for sure strangers greet you by name. Our "kids" were 22 and 13, so not a big concern there. The names aren't necessary though. I just figured if we had tie dye shirts with white mickey heads in the middle, and I had an air brush, there wasn't any good reason not to put it to use :)
