Hi,

I know it's not officially allowed, and certainly not at buffets or all you can eat places, but my DD17 and I will be taking a mother/daughter trip to WDW during free dining this September, and I'd love to hear from other people who were allowed to share a TS meal. Neither of us are dainty eaters, mind you, but the portions are very large, we'll most likely be maxing out on Mickey bars (my personal crack), and neither of us NEEDS all the extra calories. So what have your experiences been?

We have ADR's at Rose and Crown, Coral Reef, and I'm going to try to get one for the new Yak and Yeti. We also have them for the Teppanyaki and CRT, but I know the Teppanyaki we can't share and CRT will be OOP.

Thanks for the input:goodvibes !

To be clear, there is nothing in the Dining Plan brochure that states that sharing is not permitted. If sharing was indeed not permitted, this thread would violate the DISboard rules.

Another side-note: There is no indication, yet, AFAIK, that Yak & Yeti will participate on the Dining plan.

Having said that we didn't share on our recent trip. We simply didn't have any need (or time!) for more sit-down meals, so we just each ordered what we wanted, ate what was reasonable, and left the rest.

DD and I have shared many a meal at Teppanyaki, on and off the dining plan. We usually add a side of scallops and are good to go :thumbsup2

We've also shared at just about every restaurant at Disney with no problems. Quite frankly it's just too hot to eat that much food. We've always been treated nicely and most times the meal has been split in the kitchen.

We split our CS meals. We found those meals to be really large quanities. We shared desserts. Usually I was to full to order and we asked for 2 spoons for dessert. I wasn't thinking at the Rose and Crown and I should of asked and took mine along home for a late snack, but I think the DDP just is way to much food.

Good point, Bicker, and I guess I wasn't thinking - I know that sharing on the DDP is not allowed, and I recall the mods making a rule about not asking for ways to circumvent the plan. Although that's not really my intention - it's not like I would be trying to get MORE food, heaven knows. And I'd most likely be OOP for a drink and a salad, at the least. But I respect the rules of the board.

A public mea culpa, and I withdraw the question.

KC:)
