Percent of SSR that's been sold?

Has anyone heard an inkling of what percentage of SSR has already been sold?

We've only been in DVC for a year, but already know we're going to be adding on. The question is whether to buy additional SSR, or hold out and get a sense of whether or not the Contemporary Resort rumors could pan out.

I'm pretty sure they won't announce plans for a new resort until after they've sold everything at SSR. I was just wondering how close they are to doing so.

I'm wondering that myself. I'm waiting for a call from my guide to add on more points to my existing ones (BWV's) BUT IF they start selling points to Contemporary or AKL as people have been posting before he calls,(I realize, though, that NO ONE really knows) I may consider one of those instead(because they are great areas also and because of the added years I'm not getting with BWV's). BUT if my guide calls before they make an announcement, I'm going with the BWV's because I called before the $$$ went up.

As of May 15th there were only shares of 160 units left to sell. I'm not sure how many total units SSR will have, but with only 160 left I'm thinking approximately 80% of the resort has been sold.

There is also an unconfirmed rumor flying around that Disney will announce a new DVC resort during the October Parks update and announcements usually hosted by Jay Rasulo Disney President of Parks and Resorts worldwide.

Also, the Disney Vacation Club continues to grow, as Disney announced that it had sold out its 2,000th unit. The units are owned by nearly 90,000 Vacation Club members. There are shares of approximately 160 units left for sale.

I was speaking with my guide earlier this month and she indicated (through speculation nothing she could confirm) that they are almost sold out of EXISTING SSR units.

She left the impression that they may be selling pre-construction beginning in 4-6 weeks for the remainder of SSR. All that means is that you buy now but can't use for a year until they are built.
