Hello!

I've started to look into a Disney Wedding. Does anyone know if there is a per person min you have to meet for Dessert Parties? I've seen there are overall min expenditures, but I haven't seen if there is a per person min?

I'm super bummed that under the new pricing structure that dessert parties no longer go towards your min expenditure with Disney. I'm trying to figure out the absolute cheapest way I could do this. If you have any tips or insight on which location or event would be the cheapest, I would greatly appreciate it!

At the Contemporary, the Grand Floridian, and Disney's Hollywood Studios there are flat food and beverage minimums for each location. At Epcot there are too, but sometimes you see them broken out as $23/person x the minimum number of people required for that location. But it's basically just a flat food and beverage minimum for each venue.

Gummybear--ask your consultant for the pricing PDF that they have. My consultant emailed me one in June 2013 (of course...prices have changed since then). It seemed pretty much like a flat fee that went up, depending on the menu you chose. There are also different venue fees and food/beverage minimums for different venues...some are definitely cheaper than others, and some actually have minimum and maximum guest counts. DF and I are doing Lochside for ours in the UK because it's one of the cheaper venues...but we also happen to love it. :) I think China's venues and one of them in Italy is REALLY pricey (more for the food/beverage minimums than the venue fee).

Ask your consultant for the PDF. Tell them that you really can't SERIOUSLY consider Disney unless you totally know what you're getting into to make sure it's within your budget. BE HONEST. That's what I did...and I think being upfront about it helps.

Just to clarify, food and beverage minimums at Epcot do not vary by menu, they very by location. Disney will send you sample menus at all kinds of price points, but you only ever have to spend the minimum—you can completely customize the menus to suit your budget and tastes.
