I like chicken fajitas, and have never had them at Disney. I am not a Mexican food connoisseur, and I like them at local restaurants around Dayton. If you have had them at the pepper market, how do you rate them? Do you get a choice of salsa, or is what you are given, hot, or mild?

Thank you.

The Pepper Market is one of our favorite CS restaurants and when we were there last November, me and my DD got the chix fajitas. We have a couple of "authentic" Mexican restaurants in our area and while I wouldn't rate the Pepper Market's fajitas in the same category, they are very good and will say are better than the ones in some of the chain restaurants. As for the fixins, they had everything, quacamole, sour cream, salsa, etc. which we asked for on the side but I don't believe there was a choice on whether it was mild or hot. I do remember that they were not overly spicy though and would rate their fajitas an 8 out of 10.

Wow! Ok, I've asked DH if we can get there in December and he's willing to try it too! Thanks:thumbsup2

I was noticing that the prices for fajitas are very competitive, if not cheaper than some restaurants in my home town. Are the portions a good size? I will be staying at CSR in June for the first time and if the fajitas are $12, I'm in, especially if there is enough to take to the room as left overs. :thumbsup2

Just an FYI--pepper market is now an all you can eat buffet type meal at lunch and they waiter we had last week said they were working toward doing the same at dinner so it might change things up a little. The food on the buffet was hot and fresh and we though it was very good.

Oh no! Does that mean they are charging the outrageous buffet prices? Probably able to book and ADR now IF you put in a CC.

I loved the Ala Carte system at Pepper Market, and the fajitas were very good.

BOOOO on the Buffet.

(just looked at pricing on Allears, it is listed as $16.99 right now. That isn't up to the other lunches yet (like $27.99 for Biergarten), but it is still a trial).

The meal is still a CS. I thought is was 14.99 OOP but that might have been breakfast which we ate but did not find near as good as lunch. The waiter we talked with said the trial period was over and it looked as if breakfast and lunch were a sure thing to stay as a buffet but they were working on making dinner a buffet as well.

It is a good deal if it stays a CS credit on the ddp. I however do see an issue if you are not on the plan and just want to get one item or something light. The other snack counter service there is pretty limited.

We ate dinner there one night and while the portions were much larger, we got the same chicken we had at lunch, both quite good.

The waiter also said that if this concept worked out well, they were looking at using it at other resorts BUT pepper market is not WDW owned sooooo???

Interesting to follow.

If the buffet is a DDP CS credit, that would be a great option for people with the DDP. Maybe the very best CS option. But OOP, it is a dude. I have purchased DVC and now I don't stay at CSR, so I guess I won't miss it much. But I really enjoyed wandering the islands and picking out my food in the past.

Thanks for the update.
