This is a pet peeve of mine. Especially when the group acts as if you aren’t even there, like some mirage, a ghost, or an apparition and they don’t budge as they prepare to plow you over.
Do you plow through them?
Do you move aside?
Do you hold your Mickey Bar out in front like a Jedi Knight?
Do you sprint at them flinging your body into them like a wedge buster?
:cheer2: go team go!

It's like playing Red Rover! Just run towards them and see if you can break through the group. Whoever you get through, tell them they are out and should leave now. ;)
Erm... okay. Not really. I either go around, or just to mess with them I duck under their arms

If plow threw them. If I had a Mickey Bar I would totaly hold it out like a Jedi Knight.

My husband - 6' 4" - stops dead in his tracks or plows through them. I - 5' 2" - usually do my best to go around them. I find it extremely rude and annoying, but I would rather go around than get plowed over. :thumbsup2

haha, usually we just stand there. waiting. standing. and when they're finally right in front of us, i give them a death stare. but im only 15 so im allowed to give the death stare, my uncle usually syas something "under his breath" about having consideration, something in this case i think we lack, but it gets the point across

I plow through them!!!! I've also knocked more than one person right on their butt when walking right at me and looking behind themselves.
OH! And you forgot un-yielding groups that also walk on the left side of walkways. ( Grrrrrrr )

I don't move. I'll just stop and stare at the sky. I'll force them into a decision ;)

We have these in Chicago. They're called "teenage girls". I haven't found a way though them yet. I'd rather face the Bear's Defensive Line....

This annoys the heck out of me too. I call it the high school clique syndrome where these seem to be the same people that used to stand and talk in the middle of hallways. It seems to never go away for some folk. I'm actually a fast walker and come up from behind to a lot of four or five abreast groups. Generally, I go around them or slow down and break the line if there is not alternative but thru them. If I am walking with a group, we usually walk in a bunch so everyone can hear each other. Not sure why walking in a line would be better. :confused3

This is great. So far we have mostly wedge busters.
I sometimes wonder, "Who in the Heck do you think you are?"

There's gotta be some give n take when dealing with crowds but if they make zero effort to give us room, then ya, I'm probably going to 'accidentally' leave my shoulder out there.

Yup. Just did that the other day at the Ikea in Schaumburg, IL. Followed by a totally insincere, "I'm soooo sorry."

A guy I know reaches up to adjust his glasses. The elbow sticking out forces people not to run into him. :rotfl:

If I can step aside, I do. If I can't, I stop.

It depends on what weapons you have and what they have. If I´m armed with a single stroller and they have a scooter I get the heck out. If I have a double and they don´t have anything I plow on. The combinations are endless but the principle is the same.

:cool1:

I work in New York City, so this is an every day problem for me, especially during heavy tourist times. If they're coming towards me, I just stop dead and make them go around me. If they're ahead of me, I loudly (but pleasantly) say "Excuse me" and plow right through. I'm tall - so I'm kinda hard to ignore!

I do not move. Why should I have to go around them when they are taking up the entire walk way. Eventually one will have to move/let go to get past me.
