Pennsylvania turnpike FINE...???

Toll people understand that not everyone understands the system. Let them know what happened and pay the toll, the fine is easily waived.

There are instructions on the back. You need to fill it out, enclose the toll ticket you have from when you entered the turnpike and send a check for the amount of the toll from entry point to where you exited. It's very easy.

I don't have the toll ticket any longer. I have no idea what happened to it, I would guess that my husband threw it out when he filled up with gas. He doesn't like clutter.....

1. NEVER follow instructions given by a GPS system blindly. You still need to read the road signs and be aware of your surroundings. GPSs will often lead you astray.
2. You should have researched how to deal with the issue as soon as you got home, not waited for them to track you down. Then you would have had the toll ticket still, and been more likely to remember the details needed.

Since you let it go until now, the best you can do is file an appeal and see what happens. But frankly, because you let it go, I'm not full of sympathy for you.

This happened to us before and we LIVE in PA.

I just paid the fine. I felt that it was our fault for not paying attention.

Stuff happens near these tolls, especially when you're driving in unfamiliar territory. We were on the NJ turnpike surrounded by 18 wheelers:scared:, and there was no way we could get into the cash lane in time. My DH felt like a criminal when he had to drive through that EZ Pass. He worried about it all the way back home. We never did get a bill for the toll....thank you New Jersey.:car:
