Penalty for changing reservation dates?

Does anyone know if there is a penalty for switching the dates? I have a trip booked for Sep 27th-Oct 3rd, and need to change it to Jan 08.

No penalty. It is possible you would have to pay a little more for 2008 rates. As long as you're not going MLK weekend, you should be fine.

No penalty on the room. But if you bought your airfare, thne yes, there is a penalty on that. It's whatever the airline charges, usually $50 or $100.

If it is a package, you will actually have to cancel. Right now the 2008 packages are not out although they are booking room only through April 2008. If you have insurance, you will most likely lose that (as well as air penalties like the OP stated).
