Silly detail here ...

What kind of pen should I take for the characters to sign my kids' autograph book? I know it should be large for them to be able to grasp it. Would a regular Sharpie marker be the way to go, or is there something better?

We really liked having the clickable sharpies. That way the kids don't have to worry about losing the cap.

Great idea. I was going to get one of the regular sharpies but the BIG FAT Kind. I think I will go with the clickable.
Can you buy them individually or just in a pack?

I find it helpful to put sticky-back velcro on the book and pen -- so they stay together in your purse/pack (I lose things like pens easily) -- just be sure to put the loop side on the pen so it doesn't stick to the character. Also put a cell phone number inside the front cover in case it gets left somewhere, maybe you'll get it back. I like to use a larger size book (from local craft store) so there's room on the page to add a photo of DGS with the character by the autograph (or on the opposite side, if they write big).

We brought along two of the giant sharpies and Donald looked at it, shook his head and took a pen we had as a back up instead. The clickable sharpies sound like a winner for sure.

We used a big fat clickable ballpoint pen. I'd heard too many stories about Mickey and his white gloves rejecting a sharpie!

Sharpies work good

Please, please, please, if you bring Sharpies, don't let your child stand in line with an uncapped pen. A little boy ruined one of our matching shirts by bumping into my son.:sad2: Just hand your kid the sharpie when he is next in line. :thumbsup2

Hi !
When you talk about sharpie, do you mean the one that can write on a cd ??? And, if it is not to complicated, i would really appreciate a picture to be sure. Just to let you know, my first language is french so...well....please forgive me if i make mistakes ! :rolleyes1

Is was not sure if it was a brand name or just a type of pen...
Sorry! And thank you !!!!!

DD9 picked out one of the thick pens that's sold in all the WDW stores near the autograph books.

It worked great and she has a fun souvenier that she loves to use. I'll probably have to figure out what pen refills it needs before too long. :rotfl:

I picked up a two-pack of the retractable (better known here as clickable) Sharpies and hope they will work! :) My one gripe is that I couldn't find any colors, just black & red, I went with black since I don't have an auto book yet so not sure what color the pages will be (might make one).
