PeepsII-The Hot, Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Feb 2010. 12/2-Part 2 has begun.

Clearly you don't care about OUR keyboards since you made that last statement... hee hee hee. I about died. I LOVE that show and that made me laugh... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Sorry Wendy!

Fair enough, bring on the bellies and the arm flab!

Jeesh all that talk and I didn't even make it to Costco!

I can just picture Jordan handing out apples and a toothbrush.......my guys got tattoos and pencils from a couple of houses...

All caught up! Jordan, I need 1/4 of your organizational magic! I'm with you all on the Rankin-Bass Christmas specials, I made Piper watch Rudolph with me while she sorted Halloween candy..tried to get her to watch Santa Claus is Coming to Town afterwards, but she wasn't falling for it.

Sorry Wendy! Fair enough, bring on the bellies and the arm flab!

I really just think there needs to be a pop-up window every time we log onto this thread warning against drinking anything while reading this thread. Way too many funny peeps on here so you just never know when a zinger is going to be tossed out there. Too risky to be drinking anything. And really, you also need to be somewhere that you can laugh out loud without being stared at. So no reading this thread at the library or church or something. Ha ha ha ha. :rotfl2:

I also love "Twas the Night Before Christmas" - the one with the mice and the clockmaker. Soooo great. "Even a miracle needs a haaaaaaaaand...."

and

"Christmas chimes are calling -- Santa, Santa!, Every child recalling -- Santa, Santa!, Come on old Kris Kringle, Down the Milky Way, Christmas chimes are calling--Santa, we need you today!"

(oh, and way off topic, but does anyone remember the Rankin/Bass "Mad Monster Party"? I just found it on DVD now... ooooohhhhhhh.)

ok.....if you insist....

I'm afraid of the belly shots yet to come now that you've opened that floodgate... ha ha ha ha. :scared1:

I was 30 pages behind. :scared1: I think that might be a record.

Last night I was almost 40 behind. I caught up and read it all !!! :scared1:

Of course nothing else got done at home but there is always tomorrow.

I check in again 10 hours later and am 3 pages behind again. Luckily I can multi-task.:lmao:

Chapter 43. Will my trip be cancelled?

I love Mondays as it is my one day off. I usually wake up late (9am). I eat something--today it was leftover Halloween candy, KitKat bars to be more specific. I take a shower (the world thanks me). Then it's become tradition that my roommate, Jean, and I go out for a meal. We went out a few weeks ago for breakfast. Today it was lunch.

We went to the Block and had lunch at Corner Bakery. I had the Chopped Salad and a Fresca. Yes, it's soda, but I'm weaning myself slowly....;)
Mondaylunch003.jpg

We also had Pumpkin Whoopie Pies with some sort of high calorie filling...Lard perhaps?

It was a good lunch on a warm day...mid 80s today.

Okay...so here's the deal. We were in a search for a Youth Director at church. We ended up not choosing either candidate. This leaves our church in a bad position. We need a youth director now. So the head pastor offers me an interim Youth Director position. Here's the rub. I'm currently half time office, half time ministry intern. I've been a ministry intern for 2 1/2 years. this position will be ending soon. So either I drop down to 20 hours, lose benefits or take this interim position.

IF I take this position, there is a chance that I would have to cancel my trip. Our church conference has a retreat for youth during President's Weekend. I would have to be there or probably have to be there as Interim Youth Director......:scared1::scared1:

I do have some options.
1) Decline the position. Risk getting my hours reduced to half-time.
2) Take the job, but have to cancel the trip
3) Take the job, but have to reschedule the trip
4) Take the job, but change the dates so I can be home over President's Weekend.
5) Take the job with the understanding that I have already had this vacation scheduled and need to take it...

I've been holding onto this information for a week now, but tomorrow I have to let her know. I have a group I meet with that has been helping me wade through all the work issues I've had these last few months. They think I should take the job. I'm still on the fence.

Trip updates

Wendy and family have yet to make airfare arrangements. Flights are still over 400, but about 75 dollars less than they have been for the last week or two. Hopefully, prices will come down in the next week or two and they can lock in their flights.

Leslie (LL), I was on Draft 6, did a draft 7 and am now on 8....;). I had to add in the ADR confirmation numbers. I also added in the DIS meets I am having with Winkers. Now with Draft 8, I am toying with paying OOP for my meal at Typhoon Lagoon during the solo portion of my trip. I would then pick up 1 meal (preferably TS) somewhere else during the last 4 days. It would have to be a breakfast and I'm trying to figure out where that would happen...

I'm also looking at switching FW, Epcot, to the early AM on Wednesday. This gives me all afternoon to do whatever......

Here are the last 4 days again so you can see what I have now and maybe give me suggestions what to do

Can you help a brother out with his itinerary? Breakfast or no breakfast? If breakfast, then where?

Wednesday, FW before lunch or after?

That was certainly, ummmm, something that was motivational for my first thread I opened. But it didn'tn quite motivate me to carry out my threat of posting unflattering pictures of my arm flab. I repeat! don't make me do it!!! :lmao: HA! Reminds me of Bob Newhart's "Stop IT!" sketch.

We're going to have to come to some agreement about posting at the same time. It messes up my groove. :upsidedow

OK, comments:

I'm cracking up that you schedule in "bench" time, which is not to be confused with "bench press" time. I'll be very curious to know if you really will end up in the gym.

Yeah, I'd go with OOP on leaning palms, what about another breakfast on Wednesday?? Bomas again?? I hear it's pretty good!

WOW! The job thing is not such a small announcement. The choices are really tough ones anywhich way you go on it. I don't envy your situation at all. Benefits are important, but so is a vacation you've been planning on for a long time. What are the chances that they'll find more candidates to fill the job before you have to go?? (I mean get to go!)

'Cause he's not giving up soda until TOMORROW. :rotfl:

How many tomorrows have I had so far this month......2...and counting.

Hey All! Hope ya had great Halloween weekends!

All this food talk and lunch talk ...it took forever for lunch time to roll around! Daylight savings time was cool as far as the extra hour of sleep, but I could not convince my stomach that it was only 10:30am when I got hungry

I had ye old microwave fun with a SmartOnes Bistro Selections - Chicken Marsala. A little gooey but not a bad flavor. I'm bummed that we didn't have any candy left at our house after all the kiddies came through. We usually have around 400 kids come through and buy extra to compensate but last night we apparently had over 500! Cleaned us out, DW even had to give away our popcorn balls :confused3

And the kids spent so much time at the halloween carnivals that they really didn't get that much candy so I can't bring myself to rob their stash. Might just have to go to the store and buy some of that close-out priced candy :lmao:

Stop by my house, we have plenty.:thumbsup2

I'll have to look up that Smart Ones...

I was 30 pages behind. :scared1: I think that might be a record.

I skipped the chit chat, and hit the links - glad to read you got all your ADRs and at great times!! From other PTRs I've been reading, many people didn't have your similar success.

Love the old pics - and speaking of milestones, I hit one yesterday as well, I can now say "We are going to WDW next month!" I guess I better update the PTR...!

Oooh, just read the last few updates. Talkin' about lunch. I had supreme pizza. Nothing too exciting, just frozen stuff, but still decently tasty. We do have some Halloween candy from Henry's stash...I wonder if there is anything in there he's too young to eat yet...:rolleyes1

Look for the hard candy....;)

You are going next month? I think I knew that right?

The only advise that I can offer is that if the only thing holding you back from taking the job is the trip then you should take the job. It sounds like it would be a good direction for you and WDW is not going anywhere. Better to reschedule a trip and have job/financial security than take the trip but be uncertain about how the job situation will work out.

I know. We jinx each other all the time....

I'm planning on the gym..really...even buying new workout clothes....

I'm leaning towards Boma again as it's close, but I've heard great things about Kona Cafe......but it would be a hassle to get to...

There are many other factors going into this that I'm not really at liberty to talk about. It's VERY complicated. There might be more candidiates, but the interview process takes a few months. The holidays aren't usually great times to be looking for people.

I agree. Just don't know if the job's for me. I'm almost 48. I don't know if I can relate to a 7th grader anymore.....oh wait....I take pix like this....

Maybe i'll be okay....;)

Good thing I read this AFTER I went to Costco and Subway!!

Oooo subway club.......

you were sopposed to give that to the trick or treaters...

what did you do? hand out apples and a toothbrush?

No razor blades and poison...;) Remember when people actually gave out apples....and there was this scare because people found razor blades in their apples.

Sorry Wendy!

Fair enough, bring on the bellies and the arm flab!

Jeesh all that talk and I didn't even make it to Costco!

I can just picture Jordan handing out apples and a toothbrush.......my guys got tattoos and pencils from a couple of houses...
