i just don't understand people being nasty. now don't get me wrong - i can be nasty with the best of them. but how in the world is it the CMs fault that the powers that be at disney are either too inconsiderate to care or too stupid to think that the fact that today would be CRAZY as far as ADRs go? my granny always said you can catch more flies with honey, not vinegar! oh, and i love that name, ardiss!

Sunday, February 14th. Valentine's Day. Or as I call it. The holiday meant to make single people feel lonely.

i hate valentine's day, too, and i'm married! there's too much pressure. not only that, but why in the world would i want my signifcant other to show me he loves me ONE DAY out of the entire year????? i just don't get it. i'm not a normal girl, i guess.

8:30pm FFC ADR made!!! An earlier ADR will give me more time to track down drunks at ESPN Club..

Chapter 40. ADRs not so live...

8:30am So I get unknown male CM on the line and we proceed with my ADR wish list for Wendy and gang. She didn't want to wake up that early and I volunteered to do them for her since I would already be doing mine. (she ended up being awake doing work).

So here's the list of what we wanted and times and then here what we ended up getting

Sunday, Feb 7th:
5:30pm Grand Floridian Cafe.
Score! That's exactly what we got.

Monday, Feb 8th
7:15pm Coral Reef
7:10pm ADRs made!!!

Wednesday, Feb 10th
Noon Prime Time
11:55am ADRs made!!!!

7:45pm Kona Cafe
7:35pm ADRs made!!!!

Thursday, Feb 11th
5:45pm Chef Mickeys
5:30pm ADRs made!!!!

Friday, Feb 12th
7:45pm CA Grill
7:30pm ADRs made

Saturday, Feb 13th
6:45pm Teppan Edo
6:50pm ADRs made

So at least for this portion of the trip. We won't have to adjust the intinerary too much because the ADRs are at undesirable times. We pretty much got everything we wanted at the times we wanted. The CM did a great job. I was very nice and he did say I was nicer than most everyone else. People were mad!

Okay so I finished at 9am and that's what time I was supposed to be at work

I still had yet to make my ADRs for the solo part of my trip? did I choose Boma or Kouzzina...stayed tuned.

chapter 41. Solo ADRs

9:00am First set of ADRs done
9:01am Jump in car and monster truck it to work (imagine the carnage on the streets of SoCal)

9:15am Arrive safely at work.
10:30am My first attempt at getting through results in me....getting through!!!! HOWEVER, for the next half an hour, the CM cannot log on.
11:00am I have to hang up and do other work

12:00pm I try again. Busy. But then on the 4th try..bingo..
12:01pm 10 minute wait. Not too bad. But I get an important phone call and have to hang up

12:25pm I try a few more times and manage to get another 10 minute wait
12:35pm I get Ardiss on the phone. Super nice, but frazzled by the mean people calling. She and I get along very well

From this Greek girl...kinda sad you didn't pick Kouzzina but I can't really blame ya We really enjoyed it but I've been hearing some pretty crappy reviews too. I've been dying to try Boma!

Now...when you call for your solo ADRs....do you tell them it's for 1 person or do you say 2 people? I noticed when I tried for 1 person there was no availability but when I said 2...voila! ADR made!

And that mornign pizza looks fabulous..minus the mushrooms I love cold pizza!

i got through...I had Colorado (female) and she too kept on telling me "thank you for being so patient" I bet all those call center people are going out for a drink after work tonight!!

I got some...I didn't get some!!

I really wanted Chef Mickeys on Sat Feb 6---got it!

WCC on Feb 7--got it!!

Le Cellier on Feb 8---got it!!

I wanted an earlier prime time for either Feb 9 or 10 but ended up getting 12:35pm on Feb 10 (my mom really wants to to go there because the last time they were in Disney was 1998 and my grandma and grandpa were along. they are there and the waitress made my grandpa go wash his hands about 3 times---the reason she kept sending him back was because she was asking the color of the soap and he couldn't tell her ...I wasn't with them as I was with my friends so I never got to witness it...and unfortunately my grandparents were killed in an auto accident in 2000---so that is something my mom really wants to do)

Nothing yet for Feb 9

Coral reef for some of us on Feb 10 evening...DH and I probably going to do something else as we have already eaten there and i couldn't get all of us together...but i might kept trying.

Feb 12 evening @ rose and crown...i really wanted Teppan Edo but could not get it from Tuesday on, same with Tutto Italia and Les Chefs de France.

I will keep trying... i think I need a break from all of it...i will wait for tour guide mike to make his parks recommendations and then see what works and what does not...

i need another beer!! Its been a really long day!

Ok your first set of ADR's looks fabulous! Amazing the time changes with the second set. Not bad but the first set was pretty much spot on.

I have to admit, that pizza looks FAB to me right now!

And hey, just as an FYI surprisingly WDW really doesn't do squat for Vday. Which bummed me out (and made me VERY glad I'd brought stuff/had stuff sent) but will be nice if you are there single. Other than pins and a random dessert here or there, I saw nothing. Flower petals on the floor at the GF Spa but that doesn't really count (nor is it relevant for you! )

I think Boma is a perfect place to do it solo.

Glad you are going with the trifecta even though I want your opinion on Kouzzina.

Reading your PTR is making me itch for another Disney trip. Oh, in case you were wondering how many days until the Peeps trip in 2012, check my signature. I guessed at a date (beginning of June). Nothing like starting to plan a trip.

Having worked in the service industry, I remember what's it like to have people get mad at you for something that was completely out of your control

The pizza looks yummy, but I think you need to try NY style pizza.

I tend to listen to reviews of people I know.

You enjoyed Kouzzina so that makes me want to try it. I think it'll find it's way on the itinerary somewhere......I'm working on it tonight.

I had no problem with saying 1 for ADRs. Although Ardiss said a few times "just one?" like she was sad I was dining alone. Bless her....

I think I had success later in the day because of my small party size....I hope you're able to get more of your wish list as you get closer. Also keep checking when you get to the resort. Sometimes you get lucky.

I've been at WDW on VD day and yeah, it's not a big deal, but it still kinda bothers me. There should be a "Single and Loving it day"..Oh wait, that's everyday..

Hi Jordan! I'm glad you FINALLY got all the ADRs you wanted. I'll be online at 6 tomorrow morning (then on the phone at 7am if that doesn't work) and hopefully things will be running a little more smoothly by then. I just went online and the system seems to be down still or again.
