I hope the response from your friends is positive-or at least they are up front about it if they realize they cannot afford it. And I hope airfare goes DOWN for you. I cannot imagine paying that much for a flight. Ugh.

I would add the two days. More days at Disney is never a bad thing.

What airlines are you checikng? I'm finding the same issue with flights from NYC to Orlando. The prices seem a little high right now and I've checked JetBlue, Continental, American, USAirways, and United.

Does Southwest fly from LAX to MCO? They seem to have really cheap airfare. I just can't get over the no assigned seats.

You could also look on one of those sites (like Kayak) that compares airfare from different carriers.

I hope you hear from your friends soon, so you can PLAN! That's half the fun! I think I agree on the extra days. We always discuss it, then end of being practical, because we talk about the extra $$ we'll spend on food and drinks, etc. so we go home anyway. Next time we have to use that FDM!

We're used to higher cross country airfares on the west coast.

Southwest has some of the most expensive flights!!! Of course, they don't have hidden fees..like bag fees.

I'm still not sure about the 2 extra nights. I think it depends who ends up going.

I was standing by 2 college age Americans and one of them tried a scorpian. He said they spice it pretty heavily so it really wasn't that bad. I almost tried one until I saw they were still alive....nope. Couldn't do it.

I mentioned that I think they do it more for the tourists than anything else. They sold regular type of seafood, but that attracts people to their food stand.

Yeah, I'm trying to justify the extra days right now. If I do it, it will be because the 2 guys or even one of them are coming. If neither of them come, then I'll be spending about 550 dollars more to stay at Pop AND I'll be staying by myself so I'll have alone time every morning and every evening at the very least. So, if that ends up being the scenario then I'll likely not add the days...
