This was such a good update!! Well....except for the baby J part. I sure hope she ended up being ok soon after that.

I am so glad to see that I'm not the only one who cleans while on vacation. I think this is what drove me so nutso at POR. There is no vacuum cleaner and no washer/dryer in the rooms. I did take time out one day during DS's nap to go down and do some laundry at the "mat". I hated that I had to bring home dirty clothes this time. We like to wash all the clothes before we come home so that we don't have to do it when we get here.

Glad to see that there are others out there that clean their rooms while on vacation. I always put the towels in a pile, straighten everything up and make the beds. My husband says I'm crazy. I don't however do laundry. It takes too much time away from vacationing.

I can't believe you sleep on that comforter!!! Do you know what kind of things have been found on them! They don't even change them before each guest! Yucky!

That was my first thought when I saw that picture. I try not to listen to the "news" reports about yucky hotel rooms, but somehow, I always hear about the bodily fluids on the bedspreads. Of course, that is at every hotel except the Disney resorts!

ME ME!! I like to clean up my villa every day! If I'm not getting Mousekeeping every day, then I will straighten up myself. Nothing feels worse to me than returning home from a park to a pigsty! Well, nothing except having to take my kid to the ER on vacation....

I am the same i have to tidy up even on holiday, my own house i actually vacumn myself out of the door when leaving so i come home to a completly spotless house (Kim and Aggie have nothing on me!), its so nice, i also have to do laundry on vaction, mainly so i dont have to bring as many clothes wiht me whihc means more room in the cases for bringing souveniors home!!

Kirstie, I usually do laundry right before I come home so I don't have to do laundry when I get home...is that crazy....

I think both Josh and Robo were at wits end....

D'OH! Been there. Well, not at WDW, but at home. Where the only "maintenance" number is the $900/hour plumber.

I LOVE doing laundry on vacation!

I love doing laundry late at night. I can enjoy the peace and quiet of the resort and have clean clothes. I did that at Pop in June 07..it was heaven.

But I do question this:

Who brings Super Glue along on vacation?!?!

HAHAHAHA! I guess Jordan does!

You can never be too prepared!

Baby J bounces back pretty quickly.

It was actually pretty funny. We both kind of laughed about it as it was happening...emphasis on kind of.

Ah, Jordan, Jordan, you were CLEANING on vacation? Make the bed, check; pick up towels, check; vacuum?????? Not me! Laundry I have been known to do (worst place, a laundromat in Myrtle Beach, SC with palmetto bugs [cockroaches to everyone else] as big as my thumb! )

Cleaning is very relaxing to me on vacation. It just feels so good to look at the room when it's clean. It gives you the false sense that you are just getting there again.......

Apple juice in the garbage disposal is too funny.
Our DS flushed a night light down our toilet once.
Had to get a new toilet.
Kids are very curious. Wonder what he was thinking.

Except not as funny...well, at least at the time. I was chuckling at Derek's expense. He was frustrated, but not mad...

I like to clean too. It is actually relaxing to me.

I seem to remember a while back you saying Baby J had an ear infection. Is this the issue here? It must have been pretty bad to cause such a fever. Poor baby.

YOu cleaned and Vacuumed??? OOOOKay. I'm lucky to get the dirty clothes off of the bathroom floor before the maid shows up.

We are worse slobs on vacation than we are in real life. It can get bad.

I did vacuum and more than one day. I straigthened up everyday. In fact, so did everyone else...we're similar that way.

I try to make the room as close to what it looked like the day we arrived. I like coming back to the room and feeling like it's the first day......

And Jordan, I'm with you - I ALWAYS straighten up the room before we leave for the parks.... (But I don't do laundry on vacation... - I draw the line SOMEWHERE! )

I was thinking the same thing, next time I go on vacation I need to bring Jordan with me to straighten up. I did do laundry but not straightening up. We were at a time share for 2 weeks and were supposed to have mid week maid service. But, they always came a day before I expected them so stuff was a little messier than I would have liked. One time they picked up the dirty clothes we had in a chair and the kids on the floor and folded them. Even the dirty underwear We were a little creeped out when we came back to find that.

Laundry on vacation is part of my routine. It wouldn't be vacation unless I did a few loads of laundry. Weird huh....

Great Update as usual Jordan DGD and I clean the room and actually she is worse than me, every night she tidyed up our room and then in the a.m we couldn't find anything! In fact somethings didn't turn up till we unpacked at home!! Jordan I 'm not sure who sings " Cleaning my gun" but Rodney Atkins could well be it!!
Winker is the Pres. of Vice .. Glue sniffing!!

I was thinking the same thing before we left because I knew they wouldn't have that stuff. While I was there I was wishing I had brought more stuff. DH thinks I'm nuts. I think a dustbuster could have come in handy a few times during our trip!!

I wipe things down with lysol wipes as soon as we check in. Then about halfway thru the vacation. And I pick-up stuff every morning before we venture out.

I do this on any vacation, anywhere we go.

Jordan, great sleeping pic! I'm glad Dylan didn't throw the juice in the toilet - we had an unfortunate incident with GI Joes in Okinawa. They had to put in a new toilet for us, and then tried to explain to me that we shouldn't flush those!

Winkers looked excited to get the glue! I hope somebody kept and eye on her....

We also like doing laundry while we're at the pool - so far we have stayed studio, so we had the laundry room right by the pool. It's way better to take clean clothes home than dirty ones! I like to straighten up every day, too, because otherwise the "junk" takes over your room - it begins to build condos and form home owner's associations!
