Well, I don't remember him being there in person, but when I saw some of the pics from our trip he was "there" so...I think he musta been "imbizable" as my nephew would say!

I know you do, my comment wasn't aimed at you Jordy! I know I've been MIA, working two jobs and being in a new relationship can do that to you...I am really enjoying reliving the trip when I get the chance to check in!

You just opened a can of worms..Be prepared.....

57 pages in just over 2 weeks???!!!??? Good God Man, you're getting to the point where you'll need 250 pages for each CHAPTER!!!

As you know I had some work and then some BIG family stuff that kept me off the boards so I'm wayyyyy behind. But I will get back on the crazy Jordan funtastic spectacular and get caught up somehow.

Sorry for hijacking your thread! I'll try to keep it to a minimum. Also, loved your update! All of your drunk interactions are . Maybe I should start visiting the bars at WDW just for entertainment! I am also that person who talks to everyone, especially in lines. It's extra nice if you end up seeing those people more than once wherever you are. And these people that don't know about Cold Stone Creamery are missing out! Even in Maine we have a couple! My favorite is mocha ice cream with brownies and almonds. Yum! I hope your week goes well and I will be anxiously awaiting the next update!

I'm telling you. You meet some interesting people at the bars. I have highlighted all the crazies, but over the years, I've also met some really great people from all over the country.

We did have a run in with some people that ERIN talked to. That's coming up later in the TR.....

Caught up from today.

I haven't.........

I can't even PRETEND that I have caught up with this report, but I have been reading bits and pieces and enjoying it all! This "Etiquette of Conversation Starting" just tickled me - because I am the QUEEN of starting conversations with strangers! DH is used to it, after 22 years of marriage, but DD rolls her eyes, or dies of embarassment! (funny how that happens with 14 year olds..... )

I think a Welcome is in order...

I used to talk to alot of my guests at Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes...I became friends with some of the regulars.

Of course, I loved talking to guests when I was a CM at Disneyland.

I like to start conversations with strangers based on what people are wearing...like I'm a UConn grad and a big Red Sox fan, and I always see people in the parks wearing Huskies/Sox stuff so I'll start up a conversation that way. I love "bonding" with people over commonalities like that while we're waiting in line. We also start chatting with random CMs that way too, because they'll be from the New England area and see us wearing that stuff and get excited. Add that one to your list, Jordan!!

Oh talking about sports is always a great conversation starter....

In fact, our Dream Giver, Tim, from TR Part One and I had a great conversation about hockey.

On the subject of Line Talking as opposed to "Dancing" My fav. was at Soarin'! I chatted to a family while in line and sjhared with them my Robot making for DGS . Their son loved it and they wanted details on where to go! Later They spotted me and held up 2 Robots and yelled big Thankyous ! Ah the Pixie Dust!!

Mine too . I remember watching it for the first time and bawling like a baby during the Sean Connery scene -- you know the one I am talking about.

I do....I love the baby buggy scene.

That description would be me -- I can't help but listen to other people's conversations in line -- natural curiosity or something -- unless they are arguing, then I try to ignore them as much as possible.

I actually will listen to arguments and decide who's right.....

I'm a magnet for people like you. I've been told I have "that face." You know the one - you see a person, start chatting and feel like you can tell them your life story AND feel good about it afterwards. Yup. That's me. I think I should have been a therapist.

I have that same problem late at night....

I can't believe how quickly your TR racks up the page count. Everyone just loves you, I guess!

The pictures of the empty Boardwalk are awesome! I'll have to try that someday.. maybe I can pick up a drunk and get TMI too!!

This is my 1st reply on your TR. I would have posted sooner, but I am not witty enough for it to be "post worthy".
Anyway, I HAD to comment on the Sopranos.
I grew up on Uncle Juniors street! For reals. They filmed a lot of scenes in Essex County NJ & that is where we are from. My brother met Tony while they were filming. Everytime they said names of streets etc. it is pretty wild to know they are talking about around the corner.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE your trip report. I want to be a member of the Jordan fan club. I'm sure there has to be a local East Coast chapter.

Count me in as another Jordan fan. Ever since I found his TR, I have pretty much spent all my free time reading it and his posts. I even spent the majority of yesterday afternoon reading it. It's like a good book that I can't put down.

The DIS is a bit like crack..

Not much gets by me...I have juicy bits radar. At least tell us if your new "friend" likes Disney....will Jordan need a new roommate for the next trip?

I'll be the third wheel. I'm usually a good third wheel unless Kim and NewMan need "privacy". I'll just go to ESPN and find a drunk to talk to.....

Believe it or not, I had a fan club in High School. They called themselves FOJ, Friends of Jordan. Our logo was the Japanese National Flag. I was the only Japanese/American in my class--out of that FOJ was born.

He is from NJ and has been to Orlando but (gasp) NOT to WDW. He is coming to visit me in July and we are going to do DL/DCA at that time. So I will see if he passes the DIS test! I am going to visit him next week. It's only been 3 months for us so we shall see....Jordan just might need a new roommate next time around, any takers?

How about the Jordan test....? Tell him to come with all proper references and background check. I will be taking a swab of his mouth and be saving his DNA should anything go awry.....

This is funny. DH says, "Laura, can't we ever get in the elevator and not find out if the lady with the baby had a c-section or not?" He says I know the life history of the people in the elevator before we get to our floor. I hate to just stand in silence I always talk to strangers.

You got me beat. I don't talk in elevators....I do smile and say hi though..people usually just pepper spray me and tell me to stay away...

Good plan to run him threw Disneyland early in the relationship! And if things go sour with the new man, Jordan knows people in NJ...... if you know what I mean <wink, wink>

Just remember that their are cameras in many of the dark rides.....

I think as of right now there are only 2-3 FJs out there....
