Peeps 2. The Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Pt 2. Feb '10. 2/21-Final Chapter. Link to TR

Yes but you still have cs meals included on ddp and snax !!!I stillsay ddp is better if you are doing that many TS!!!

Can't really help you out too much on the DDP thing..but here's a crazy question for you.. what would the tentative dates be for the 2012 trip? Any idea? I'm normally Piper-less for the last two weeks in June and have never had a vacation by myself. :rolleyes1

the last 2 weeks in June 2012, at least that's the plan right now.

If you hear any strange noises coming from your PTR don't worry, it's just the wheels turning in my head...

what's funny is i did that fuzzy disney math too but it's on a piece of scrap paper in my office instead of on my TR.....you are much more organized about it! :lmao:

i think what appeals to me most with paying OOP is that i can order what i WANT instead of what is dictated for me. i'm not a big sweets person so sometimes i don't want a dessert and would rather have a salad or appetizer or maybe nothing at all. sometimes ray and i will share a CS meal so we don't need all those CS credits. plus i just don't use all those snacks. then when you add in alcohol and tip, you're really still paying a good bit out of pocket anyway. but that's just me and how i see it.

we found that while the dinning plan was fun while free, when we paid for food, we did not like being tied down to reservations and liked that we could decide on the fly or eat a few smaller meals different places for dinner

but it is really up to you and what you like better

its late im rambling ng=ight jordan

millie - twerd is a combination of "twilight nerd." ;)

by the way, love your name. not even really sure if that's your name or just your user name. ray and i are playing with the idea of using millie as a middle name for a future daughter. we both want to honor our grandmothers and my grandma's name is mildred and his is billie. so we thought we'd combine them with millie. :)

Punkin~
I did not intend to not answer you for so long, I don't always get on here in a timely fashion. Forgive me.
 Thank you for the sweet words about my name. My name is actually Camille, my DH calls me Millie and the 12591 is our wedding date. It's his pet name for me if you will. I think it's kinda sweet and endearing that he calls me that. :cloud9: Only a couple of people in my life have called me this, and in all cases it was due to making up a sweet endearing name for me. :lovestruc
I think that would be a great name to use for your decreed daughter! :woohoo: What an honoring thing to do.
And thank you for clearing up the twilight nerd thing and for understanding that I wasn't making any negative remarks about being a fan of TL. ;) I think everyone knows that we all pretty much share the luv here.

Ok, can I just say OUCH!!??!?! :faint: Reminds me of when I saw my friend's newborn baby who was preemie and weighed about 5 lbs and I was all, "Ohhhh, I don't even remember when my babies were that small...." and then I realized my babies WERE NEVER that small... hence my lack of memory of them being that small. Ha ha ha ha.
If it weren't for the lack of memory, we wouldn't keep having the little boggers. ;) Although,I have to say....if I had babies as pretty as you do....I would have about ten more, lack of memory or not.

Millie is SO much cuter than Bildred, anyway. :lmao: (side note: humble apologies to all those Bildreds out there... :worship:) Agreed! Sorry Bildreds.

Saddly you are correct...but it doesn't mean I have to like it. :sad1: (of course I'm being tounge in cheek) I will say I've learned more about footwear than I ever thought possible. I own exactly 3 pair of shoes. 1 black, 1 brown, 1 tennis. I've had the black shoes for 7 years, the brown ones for 5 and the tennis shoes I bought for Disney. Sure I've had to JB weld the heel back on the black ones a time or two. And the brown ones don't quite fit right, but it works for me.

Edited to say...now that I think about it, I bought the black ones when we lived in Minnesota so that would make them 9 years old. Maybe I should consider an upgrade.
Y'all are cracking me up!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
I can neither confirm nor deny that I DIS from church.
I think we all know the answer to this! :rotfl:

Yay, I am glad you decided to try the Wave. We are going there in May. We are going to to the dining plan I think, though paying OOP does sound tempting. Decisions, decisions.

Yes it's the Wave at 5:55p !! FOR NINE of us !!!!!!!!

I was not a Beny Hill fan !! He was far more popular in the States than in England:rotfl2:

Now on the Buses and til death do us part !!:lovestruc

YAY to the Wave, I can't wait to hear what you guys think of it! We'll be 8 too so it will be nice to see how it goes for you.

I am with Rosie on Benny Hill. I think it's a guy thing. I love Python but Jeff thinks Benny Hill is a riot. Bleh.

Yeah I thought about that.

Okay let me do the math and see how it comes out. It was approx 270 for the QSDP and it approx 360 for the DDP. If I had 5 TS meals OOP it would cost:

The Wave:
Soup: 7.99
Flank Steak 20.00
Potatoes 3.99
Drink 3.50
Tax/Tip: 12.00
Total: 48.50

Kouzzina:
appetizer: 7.99
soup: 6.99
Chicken: 22.99
Drinks: 3.00
Tax/Tip: 11.50
Total: 52.50

Prime Time Cafe:
Onion Rings: 7.99
Pot Roast: 16.99
Drink: 3.00
Cobbler: 7.49
Tax/Tip: 10.00
Total: 45.50

Teppan Edo:
chicken and steak combo: 28.95.
drink: 3.00
tax/tip: 9.00
total:41.00

Boma:
Buffet: 30.88
Tax/Tip: 9.00
Total: 40.00

Total: 227.50
add maybe 2 out of 5 extra CS meals wasted or not used or not used by me.
Total: 24.00
New total: 251.50

QSDP: 270.00
OOP: 227.50
CS waste: 24.00
Total: 521.50

Okay now with DDP

DDP: 360.00

When dessert is included I usually don't get appetizers or soup/salad because it's too much food.

Heres the cost breakdown for each restaurant using tip and maybe something else on the menu:

The Wave: 15.00
Kouzzina: 17.00
PTC: 17.00
Teppan Edo: 10.00
Boma: 10.00
Kona: 17.00
Tutto: 18.00
Sig dining: 40.00
Total: 144.00

DDP: 360.00
Tips and extras: 144.00
Total: 504.00

So it's pretty equal.....

I'm glad I did that. Thanks Brook for the reply because it made me actually do the hard math instead of the Fuzzy Disney Math.

Ok, even with all that I'd upgrade, between eating extra CS credits and more snacks then we'd use for the value of them, I think the DDP is a better way to go unless you are doing less than 6 sit downs...

Either way, you will eat well and have a blast!

LOL on neither confirm or deny about DISing from Church.

That's quite the siggie/ticker change, ESquared!

I hope you will really enjoy The Wave :woohoo: That was my first ADR in October and will be the first place I hit in May! :) Very easy to eat there and then hop over to MK :thumbsup2

lol. It will probably change again...not quite right, yet. For some reason 2 of the images on the cruise ticker aren't clear once they are in the rotating banner, weird white speckles, even though the original files are fine. Mickeypath is supposedly checking into it...
