I dont' care if it's male or female, I don't want to see someone else's underpants. I think that visible thongs look trashy. Why would you want the entire world, including old men and children, to see your underpants? I still see them around here, but we are way behind the times down south. I have never seen a man with a visible thong, but I have seen the boxers sticking our over the top of the jeans...yeah, still...how old is that trend, 10-15 years?

My DH calls the lower back "stamp" a bullseye.

The only thing I can think of when I see the "whale tail" or whatever you call it is a smelly, sweaty butt crack. Doesn't matter if the lady is attractive, well-proportioned, whatever. Just horrible butt crack stench.

My wife wears them and loves them. If they were remotely uncomfortable, they would be banned from the house..

She also claims visable panty lines are a huge no no, so another reason..

I've never understood the big problem about having panty lines and why women are so worried about hiding the dreaded panty lines. I figure that if I can see a person's panty lines, then at least I know they have underwear on. It's not like it's a big secret that people wear underwear...is it? Perhaps we should have women with visible panty lines wear a Scarlet P and hang their heads in shame

But then again, I'm a girl and I don't get a lot of girly things like makeup, shoe obsession and fashion. I watch "What Not To Wear" and usually end up screaming at the TV because there is no way in heck I am going to pay the equivalent of my former car payment (my car's paid off now) for one pair of jeans or a sweater or whatever. That's crazy!

I will admit that once in a blue moon I would wear a thong to avoid pantylines. Now they make full underwear that does not show under clothes, my life is complete! For me, I am a fairly modest person, and I don't want somebody to see my underwear in any way shape or form. Plus, pantylines are just embarassing, it makes it look like your pants are too tight, even though anymore it is hard to find cuts and fabrics that do not have pantylines if you want to wear proper fitting pants.

When I would wear thongs (in the olden days before they made full no-show panties), it really wasn't that uncomfortable, as long as it was a well made one. For the most part I didn't even notice it.

What kills me even more is the number of prepubescent girls I see with them in our small rural town. I'm sorry, children are becoming sexualized way too early these days. I can't stand half the fashions for little girls, they are essentially smaller versions of the smutty clothes teenagers like to wear, but then, that is another thread entirely.

For the most part, I don't think it's done on purpose. Pants are SOOOO Low-rise these days it's impossible to not have thongs stick out above the incredibly low waist. That's why the longer cut tees/tanks that are so popular now are a welcome relief.

I think I'll have to disagree on this. At least around here, the majority I see with "peeping thongs" do it on purpose. I see girls at the high school when I sub pulling up their thong strap and down their pants waist all the time when they think nobody is looking. (And yes, I'm the mean sub who makes them cover it back up). I'm sure there are certainly some people out there who don't realize it is showing, but it seems to me the majority are doing it on purpose.
