Pecos Bill's- fixins upon request?

Was just watching a food vlog where it was mentioned that, while there's no "Fixins Bar", fixins are available upon request. Has anyone done this? If so, what's available? Everything that used to be on the bar or limited?

They automatically gave us lettuce and tomatoes and sour cream. I added guacamole to the order and got two cups of it. We never asked for more since what we got was plenty.

Same. It was only lettuce, tomato, sour cream and salsa. Normally I add onions and jalapeños. They didn’t have those items.

You add your fixins to the order itself, not through the toppings bar. There are limited customization options. For example, I wanted a salad with ground beef. Nope. You can add only chicken or pork carnitas to the salad, not ground beef. But, you could get nachos with ground beef. Guac is extra charge, but it had been that way before COVID.

One of the things we loved at Pecos Bill was the fixin's bar. I understand why they don't have it, but it was amazing!

Almost everything was put into 2oz portion cups, so that is a good amount, you could always ask for more at the counter and I'm sure they will be glad to help you. The CM's behind the counter look so bored with everything automated. Seriously they are desperate for conversations. I miss the melted pump cheese, that is just the best!

We went a couple of days ago and I thought the way they handled the fixings was great. I ordered the ground beef nachos to split with my son from the app. It gave me the choice to customize and I clicked on all of the choices available... "extra" of the lettuce, salsa, tomato, sour cream and cheese and it was no extra cost but we did not get the guacamole while it was an extra cost. The nachos came serverd in a large cardboard boat with the chips, ground beef, and queso cheese on it. The shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes were served in small cardboard boat and we received two of them since we asked for extra. Our "extra" other fixings were two (instead of one) small plastic solo cups with lids of sour cream and salsa and one of the small paper cups (same as the cups they serve ice cream in) of queso cheese. Once again, Pecos Bill's came in as a winner in my book because there was plenty of delicious food at a decent price.

We've always gotten our fixins delivered to us from the back because we have gluten allergy, and they have always given us waaaay more of each item than we need.

And people did. They would bring in bread from outside, maybe buy a soda to split, and make sandwiches with the fixings.
