Do we drop our luggage off then park in the garage? or park and take luggage with us? This will be our first time use the parking garage at PC.

You drop all the luggage off that you do not want to carry on with you first then turn into the garage that will be on the left.

If you have dropped off your luggage, you can cross the street from the garage to the terminal on the pedestrian bridge located on Garage Deck 3. Then escalator down to check-in (or elevator if strollers or wheelchairs involved.)

You will be under cover however you do it - the area is covered from luggage drop-off onward. No worries about rain.

Don't forget you pay at the beginning and pay for #of cruise nights +1 (7 night /8 day cruise). It’s a daily rate, not 24 hour blocks.

Having sailed out of San Diego and Miami, the port experience at Port Canaveral is way easier and more intuitive. You'll follow the signs to the Disney terminal (#8). Once you pull into the terminal area, you will be directed first to the luggage drop off area. There, you'll drop off with the porters any bags you want taken directly to your room. Bear in mind that these might not get to the room until late in the evening, especially if there are electronics inside that have to be checked. Some like to carry a bag or two onboard with them, to have swimsuits available to enjoy the pools before the luggage makes it to the room, or to keep up with valuables that they prefer not to lose sight of. Also bear in mind that you'll have to carry on any drinks you're bringing on.

Once you drop off your bags, you'll make a couple of left turns into the parking garage (just follow the line of cars) and find a parking spot. From there, it's a short walk across the bridge to the terminal building.

Just keep in mind that any bags you want to carry on board will have to fit through the scanners (same size requirements as airport scanners). Anything that fits you can take with you as long as you don't mind hauling it around until the room is ready at 1:30-2:00.
