Ok, for now we have a Portofino Suite booked for my birthday in May.

First, we never got an email confirmation, and it's been a month. Second, when we try to pull up the reservation online, it says the reservation can't be pulled up online (but I do see on my credit card statement that they took the one night's deposit). Third, is that normal for a manager to call and ask the view, etc? We have never had that happen, and not this time either. :confused3

We have the SS rate with upgrade to the Portofino Suite with Platinum status too.



What's up w/ that?? That doesn't sound right? Maybe call or email and ask where your confirmation is? :confused3
 
When we stayed a couple of years ago we had a slight problem, the manager who dealt with us, moved us back to RPR at our request. Gave me his number to contact him if we decided to ever come back to PBh which i did, as i wanted a bit of info from him. He has emailed me a couple of times, but its not usual for the manager to contact people making bookings.

Now it makes sense! You are getting extra Star Service treatment!:goodvibes I agree with Bay View, West Wing. I hope you have a much better visit this time. We fell in love with the PBH last May and have returned 3 times since!

Jodie, we are going next week and I haven't received anything at all either. We have a king suite booked on a SS rate upgraded because of platinum as well.

I can't retrieve it online either. It says my login is incorrect. Someone once told me that only reservations made online could now be retrieved online.

I used to be able to retrieve online. Hmpph.

Did get a special email just now from Universal Special Services confirming the reservation. Called them last night after I posted this, and they said they were having problems with email notifications.

A suite for 4-nights at PBH was $900-something, with taxes.

A cruise in a suite on Disney for 3 nights was $3500-something for the same time period.

PBH won that easily. ;)

Have to say, I don't really have high expectations of PBH. Our first stay 5-years ago sort of sucked (we haven't been back since). At the time, they offered us a free night to try them again, which we never used. Think the only reason we are staying there this time is because Mike and I don't really like sharing a bathroom :lmao: , and PBH is the only suite that offers 2!
