Recently received a flyer in the mail notifying me of payment plans for APs for all CA residents. I'm dying for a trip but alas, it will have to wait until 2013. So can I start paying for an AP now?? :confused3:rotfl2:

Kidding aside, how does this work?

P.S. Haven't been around in quite a while. Missed y'all! :grouphug:

You sure can. :thumbsup2 Glad it's not offered to only Socal residents now.

I meant that you could start saving now for it not forward the funds to Disney now.

You make a downpayment which is equal to a single day park hopper price. then they amortize the rest of the pass cost over the next 12 months. If you are going in 2013, you would waste half a year of payments.

I wouldn't get it until you actually go. If you purchase your tickets before hand you can then upgrade to AP (they will deduct the cost of the tickets you purchased and you make monthly payments on the remaining balance) if you get a three day park hopper upgrade after you use your magic morning.

The down payment is a single day non-PH price ($80).

If you're not going to be there until 2013 then why don't you just buy Disney gift cards when you have extra cash? Same as making payments :goodvibes You could even buy gift cards that amount to the whole trip if you have that much time.

Instead of using their payment plan (you pay over the year that you're using it), use your own pre-payment plan! :)

Thanks guys! :thumbsup2 Don't know if we'll get APs when we finally get there but the payment plan means I have even less reason for resisting once we're there.

Welcome back Jenn! It is nice to hear from you again. Thank you for the information. I was wondering, whom did the flyer come from? Wondering because I have not received this information. And am a bit surprised too. Because I do receive mailings from Disney. And am a member of their various websites. I checked my mail just today too. I am feeling a bit left out now. And am not feeling the love at the moment. Oh well.... ;) No, really.
I agree with the pp's. Either sign up for this payment plan, when you know for certain that you will be going during that particular time frame. Or save for it, via Disney Giftie Cards, or just save it period. Then when you are ready to visit the land, then purchase the AP out right.

~~~~ I have a message for I believe it is you, from the other side ~~~~
Madame Leota, while I was last communing with her, said that someone whose name begins with the letter J, will be visiting Paris very soon. So to make sure that this someone has their passport in hand. And that everyone in Paris, has been dying to meet this person. Also, this J person, is female. Then she lost contact with the great beyond. I thought to myself, hmm... who can this person be? Ah... I believe I know.... after having read this thread....And how exciting too!
