Payless Car Rental

Has anyone used them? How far offisite are they located? Did you have any problems?

I just got a 5 day rental for 81.16, we are staying on property but like to have a car, any info is GREAT!!!!!

Amazingly I have never had any problems with Payless at Orlando after using them numerous times.

As with any rental car, inspect every square inch including the bumpers and windshield and floor mats for damage, and the rental contract fine print and insurance acceptance/declining wordings, prior to driving off.

By the way, Payless agents have told me that widely scattered dings in the metal smaller than a quarter (scratches and minor depressions less than an inch) are not counted against you.

I have also used them several times with no problems. The shuttle ride is maybe 5 minutes. Lately though I've become spoiled by great in-terminal rates. I've used Alamo on the last couple of trips. When we get off the plane I get into the Alamo line while DW waits for the bags. By the time I get through the line the bags are just about ready and we walk to the car and go. I have a 4 day rental for later this week for $68.59 with Alamo using an Entertainment book coupon. I'm not sure Payless could do any better than that. And even if they can beat it it will only be by a couple of bucks. To me the convenience is worth that.

We used them last August and had such a horrible experience that we will never use them again. I went round and round with them about what car I had actually rented and they tried to tell me their fleet had changed and they weren't going to honor my reservations at all, etc. It took almost an hour and a half to finally come to a solution that we both would agree on. I think of myself as a reasonable person and I was a travel agent for a lot of years so I was familiar with the way it works. They just didn't seem to care.
