Paying it forward

I am new to DIS and am enjoying just hearing all the stories. I don't know about the postcards that everyone is talking about. Is it something special to DIS online or the oldfashion ones w/ special mickey stamps. Please help a newbie. I hope to learn about the signatures too. I love reading all of them.

My kids were so excited when they had their VERY OWN special mail! My dd5 received her Jasmine postcard & my ds received his Goofy, Minnie ^ Mickey card! They were perfect! Sooo cute! They really thought that the actual character remembered them and want them to come soon~ Hope that our special sender had a fabulous trip!


We are going in November (Thanksgiving) and would love to do the same for 3 people. PM w/ addresses if you like~

maybe the post office is just slow. I know around here sometimes it's better to send EXTRA early

I am leaving tonight, September 28th, for a week trip to WDW. I won't be able to mail anything until Monday, October 1st. I am happy to send 3 postcards to someone who needs them. Concerning the post cards... A dis member offers to mail your child a post card from disney world while they are down in Disney world themselves. It is just a little way to help the children get excited about their up coming trip.

Then the idea is that you pay it forward to someone else once you are done there.

You provide name,address,favorite character,special message and then hopefully a week or 2 before you leave a post card comes address to your child from disney.

The kids were thrilled to get two Mickey & Minnie postcards today! They are so excited and it was PERFECT TIMING!!!!!! We just went to the Travel Shoppe and made final payments today!!!!GREAT! I am more excited than anyone huh? Even after that hefty payment!

Well just so everyone knows...

I have 4 post cards to send out when my family is down at christmas...

I think this is such a great forum.

I know it is something small in nature, but it is simply people helping each other bring a little happiness to each other's families.

Recently I have noticed how people only think of themselves. This forum has been very refreshing as I see how some people just want to bring alittle magic to our children.

Keep it going!!
