I am wondering if those people that have tried to pay their bill before their trip have had it take a while for them to process the transaction? I faxed all the requested information to the accounting dept as the paperwork asked me to last week and requested they email me to let me know that they could read everything and that it was processed okay but I never heard from them. My credit card has not been charged.I then called them today and left a message and never heard from them. I have never had to work so hard for someone to take my money.:confused3

They took up to 48 hrs to return my calls. But we paid by money order so I don't know how long it would have taken if I had paid with a CC.

I pay money every month , fax them the Advance Authorisation Form for them to take money from the CC. Usually recieve email ,without asking after 2 days.
you could email
LBurgos@loewshotels.com

I've paid in advance before and they have faxed me confirmation without asking.

Thanks for the responses!!!They finally faxed me a receipt and confirmation.I was nervous about faxing my credit card information and drivers license to them and not getting a response.I am all payed up and looking forward to staying at HRH for the 1st time.I leave in 11 days.:woohoo:
Thanks again!!!!:)

Is it OK to pay with a check? I won't be going until August so no need to rush with a credit card, will they accept a check in the mail? Anyone ever done that? TIA :cool1:

I paid with a check for my april trip. It went thru with no problems, I actually called ahead and asked them what to do, who to address the envelope to,etc. It was a breeze, and I am all paid up. They sent me an email confirmation, and also called via phone to let me know the check arrived.

Thank you very much, just what I needed to know. :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

P.S. You're so0ooooo close to retirement, I'm jealous! :rolleyes1

Is there an advantage to paying in advance or is it just a budget thing? I always pay for WDW in advance because it is required. I bought our Universal tickets already but am just saving the $$ in a savings account for the room and other expenses for our upcoming trip in May. :woohoo: (Can't wait to go!!)

Just wondering if there is some kind of advantage (discount or perks) in paying for the room ahead of time. :confused3

For me paying in advance is a budget thing. I like to get to the hotel and not have a balance- less money to have to carry or spend during the week.
I don't go until December, and will be sending payments every month (since my hotel is $300+ a night-queen club level).

we can pay our balance in full when we get there right? I do not want to use the same cc I used to reserve my room but my check card instead. I would rather pay when we check in than check out. Less money you may want to spend on nonessentials!

I didn't know you could pay monthly!!
Is this something you had to make special arrangements for?
or do you just make a reservation & then send in payments under that reservation #?
I'd love to make my reservations now & have it paid for by the time i get there!

thanks :)

OK I am confused a bit :confused3 :confused3

I am all for not spending money you don't have (ie:charging up a credit card for vacation then paying it off with interest) We retired 5 years ago at 41 with no mortage and no credit card debt  so I completely understand about being smart with your money. That's why I don;t understand why you would give a resort your money weeks or months BEFORE you even get there. I understand that "you don't have to worry about the bill thing" but why not open a seperate bank account or a safety deposit box or a cookie jar and put your money into it instead of giving it in advance. When you get to the resort use an American Express card (a charge card not a credit card - no interest net 30) pay with that then use the cash to pay the AmEx bill. The benefits of the AmEx points are teriffic - we fly free most of the time using our points. I pay my AmEx bill on line too...so you can actually pay for the vacation as soon as it hits your card 24 hours later. No bills no worries and points add up fast. Just from a frequent traveler's point of view, you have no leverage by paying in advance....they HAVE all your money.

ITA with you on this one. I don't get it either, but to each his own.

heres my issue with that....money hidden in the house, or even in a bank account will end of getting spent, that's just the way it goes! LOL
i dont' have an amex (nor would they even consider giving me one!!) and to finance a trip sounds expensive....if i can pay the hotel then the money is gone ( as in, not in the house or a cookie jar or anywhere else I can get my grubby "lil hands on it!:rolleyes1 ) and i would treat it like paying a bill instead of stuffing it in a cookie jar. it would work really well for me to pay off the hotel & lets face it, they are getting my money anyway! LOL so why not pay it off like it's a bill, then i can (try) to save up some spending money!:woohoo:
