Paying annual dues with Disney gift card?

Yes, it was more than enough.
I even canceled the autopay and could use a random number but it still didn’t work.

Okay! Then it does sound like a glitch unless it’s because we are beyond Jan 15th?

Maybe a call to Member accounting on Monday!!
 
Mine was enough for my small contracts. Same as reported above.
I have paid off 25 dues and it was just to put in another extra. I have never done autopay before but was going to 'try it out' for a few contracts so I made those adjustments the week before when I overpaid on one.
 
I just tried to pay off some of my contracts with a GC but every time I try it says " Cannot make any payment as credit card is expired : null null creditCardN "

Anyone else experienced this today or some other day. Hoping it's a Disney bug. Tried using my CC on a single contract and that worked fine.

My contracts was in autopay, so I tried with autopay turned on but also turned off, same result.
I'm having the same issue.
 

Me too! Just came on to check if anyone else was having the same problem. It was working for me as of January 28 but I needed more cards to complete the payment. I'm getting the same error on 2 different browsers. Already doublechecked on the My Disney Cards website that the cards had $$ on them.

I hate doing this and prepaying but I went ahead and tested this anyway as it would save me some looks from the grocery cashier when I tell them I want XX dollars and 38 cents to make my gift card balance back to only being whole $$ lol

I unenrolled in autopay.
Since there was no balance Pay by Contract was auto selected.
Scrolled down and left all contracts as "Do Not Pay" except for one which I choose "Apply Other Amount" and I typed in my $0.62 from my Gift card.
Selected "New Card"
Clicked on Disney Gift card entered the info and it showed the amount on the GC
Clicked the "I have read" section
Clicked on Submit Payment

Received that it is too much message

I also received the same message about Credit Card is expired and it lists the Gift Card Number with the last 4 stared out.
That is the same gift card that early had shown the amount that was on the Gift card which was more than the $0.62 I had submitted to pay on a contract.

This definitely seems like a glitch as we are certainly following the message that was posted under "2025 Autopay Guidelines"

"While you are enrolled in Auto-Pay for Annual Dues, Disney Gift Cards and Disney Rewards Redemption Cards are not acceptable forms of payment per our terms and conditions. To make a payment with a Gift Card or Rewards card, please first un-enroll by selecting My Annual Dues > Manage Auto-Pay > Cancel Autopay. After making your payment, please re-enroll in Autopay by February 14 for any remaining balance due. If you are not re-enrolled in Autopay by February 14, any outstanding Annual Dues balance will be considered past due on February 15, subject to late fees and interest, and due in full. If you removed Autopay to pay in full , please remember to re-enroll if you want to continue with automatic payments for future years."

That was actually my initial thought. But then I read here on DIS that some had paid using a GC on January 20th so I quickly ruled that out.

I’ll give it to Monday until 12noon then DVC have had time to fix it but if it still doesn’t work I’ll call

The notification sure makes it sound like we can continue to use gift cards until 2/14 as long as we are not enrolled in autopay.

Maybe they were just late getting the partial pay for GC turned off by the 15th?

If you could pay in full using GC with autopay on, which is how it’s always worked for CC, it sounds to me that maybe it’s now set up for no more partial payments.
 
Good to know but at this point since mine are at $0 I would assume any amount is random at this point for me.

Maybe they won’t allow people to put credits on their accounts for next years dues using GC once balance is 0?

I couldn’t pay in full using a GC.

I only tried using a CC to make a small payment after autopay was turned off.

I misunderstood. I thought you said with autopay on, it would allow full payment with both a CC and gift card.
 
Same here send them an email hopefully fixed soon I have GC to pay off this years dues and wanted to do it this weekend. Managed half of them Friday. Went to do the rest on Saturday and got the same error message
 
I was on property this past week and I went to the front desk to apply a gift card to my account on Friday and the cast member was having issues applying it. He had to call Disney gift card services and then had to call me back hours later because it appears it still wasn’t straightened out. He told me there was an issue on their end and they would correct it on Monday.

I have no idea if these issues are related, I just wanted to let everyone know that maybe the issue is with Disney gift card services the past couple of days vs DVC’s site.
 
I spoke with Member Accounting this morning and was told there is an issue with the system (shocker I know) and they are working to fix it. She said the hope is to have everything up and running later today but they are not able to process gift card payments at this time (either via the website or over the phone).
