Can DVC annual dues be paid with Disney gift cards? Sam's club offers a slight discount on purchasing Disney gift cards, and I would have to purchase a bunch of them to pay my annual dues, but is this permitted? I checked the "annual dues" payment page and it says "Disney gift cards" can be used--but can I use about 20 gift cards of $200 value each to pay my dues? Is there a limit how many I can use?

I'm curious if anyone had had any experience with this.

You have to setup your dues for monthly payments with a checking account in order to pay monthly with a gift card or credit card. If you don't pay it by the 15th of the month your checking account will get hit for the payment.

You can also buy enough to pay the whole years dues and use a gift card as well I believe.

We use the monthly payment plan and buy a gift card to pay our monthly bill through BJ's each month.

You do not have to do that at all. You can just say you want to pay your dues and use a gift card. I prepaid my entire 2025 dues already by just paying with gift cards. Original poster didn't say they wanted monthly payments.

Sam’s club will only sell you 4 discount gift cards if they’re on a sale. You never need to combine them prior to using them for dvc dues. Don’t worry about that. eta: you can apply as many gift cards to dues as you want through the year.

Short answer: Yes, you can pay your DVC dues with Disney gift cards

Yes, you can use the Disney eGift cards on sale at Sam's Club. (Limit 4 per membership). If you're having friends or family purchasing cards for you with their Sam's membership, they will have to email you the cards as they are emailed to the Sams Club account holder.

Officially you're supposed to combine as many as you can first (up to $999 per card) then pay with one or two cards rather than pay with several smaller denomination gift cards. You can combine and see balances at disneygiftcard.com

I have already prepaid my dues using gift cards purchased at Sam’s Club.
I was able to purchase my cards and then I used the Gift Card combiner to make 5x$200 in cards into $1000 cards which I then applied to my account.

What is the "gift card combiner"? Is this on the Sam's Club website? Does DVC care if you use numerous smaller denomination gift cards?

Good to know about the gift cards. Can I also use a combination of any credit card and Chase Disney Rewards card?

When we started paying with GC the only way to do it was to enroll in the auto pay option with your checking account.

That is most likely why the PP stated that.

Good to know that is no longer required but at this point I’ll just leave my checking account linked.

Yes you can select pay by contact and put in any amount you want to pay with the payment method.

If you haven’t loaded money to your Chase Disney rewards account I would not do so. Instead I would pay with my Disney Visa to earn the 1% back and then login to Chase and use the Pay Your Self back feature to wipe the charge. You can do do this with any amount as opposed to the reward card that makes you have a minimum of $10 to reload an existing card or $20 for a new one.

DVC doesn’t care how many cards you use.

If you are only using cards for dues then it doesn’t matter if you combine them or enter them on the DVC website as you will be typing the numbers on both. It might be easier to not combine as I don’t think you have to enter the pin when using on the dvc site.

The reason many of us combine as we use them in the parks and it is easier to carry 1 card with $1k compared to 40 $25 cards.

A few years ago Member Services told me about the gift card website and instructed me to combine cards because the official limit is redeeming up to 3 gift cards per year to pay maint fees.

Not sure that limit is actually enforced, but that is why I started combining gift cards.

There is no limit at this time at least making them online.

I agree - we often pay dues online with discounted DGCs as we go through the year, and we’ve applied many more than three over the year. And sometimes when we have several because of a special offer, we apply them all, going through the process for each one by one, at one session. It didn’t make sense to me to combine them on the Disney GC site first, because it was the same process!

I just saw this posted on the member website under "notifications" so I am assuming something has changed for 2025....

2025 Autopay Guidelines
While you are enrolled in Auto-Pay for Annual Dues, Disney Gift Cards and Disney Rewards Redemption Cards are not acceptable forms of payment per our terms and conditions. To make a payment with a Gift Card or Rewards card, please first un-enroll by selecting My Annual Dues > Manage Auto-Pay > Cancel Autopay.

I pay in full (with gift cards) when my dues statement is posted so this is not relevant to me, but I thought the info might help others who do use gift cards on a monthly basis.

Thanks that is a complete turn around from what it used to be.

It won’t affect me either as I pay them all at the beginning but our family friends go to Kroger every month and buy a GC for their dues to get the fuel points. I will pass that on to them.
