Paying annual dues with Disney gift card?

When are the 2025 annual dues actually assessed on our accounts?
There is a related thread - Annual Dues still not posted?

can I make a payment for annual dues that have not yet shown up in my account? If so, do I select pay by contract and just enter the amount I am paying, even though the balance is currently zero?
Yes, you can pre-pay annual dues. Disney will show them as a credit.

Yes, enter an amount to pre-pay and enter payment info

When are the 2025 annual dues actually assessed on our accounts? As of today, December 9, there is nothing for 2025 yet. It is to my advantage to pay these, if possible, by December 15--can I make a payment for annual dues that have not yet shown up in my account? If so, do I select pay by contract and just enter the amount I am paying, even though the balance is currently zero?

From the notification section that you can see once you are logged in.

Your 2025 Annual Dues Statement will be posted online on or after December 17, 2024. The due date to make your Annual Dues payment in full is January 15, 2025. You may pay online or register for autopay now.

Note: Annual Dues payments via the website will be unavailable December 15 to December 17, 2024, while we process annual billing statements. Other tools, such as Loan payments and the Member Online Booking tool, will remain available during this time.

I would not pay all as your calculations while are most likely correct when you multiply points vs point cost there could be other factors that we don't see where it could be a little less or a little more.

You can certainly make a large payment but I would leave a little left until they are posted if you have to pay by 12/15. (You could also buy a bunch of GC before 12/15 if you are going after a minimum spend for a bonus)

Even if you have only 1 contract, you will select pay by contract (You can't type balance as that should be $0 right now) and type how much you would like to prepay.

The dues need to approved this week at the condo association meetings.

Once they are, then they will be loaded into everyone’s accounts…which should be there around Dec 17 th.

Weird question, does anyone else have a contract that needs to pay on January 1st? not January 15th??? I have one contract that I bought resale that has a payment date on the 1st, all the rest of our contracts are on the 15th.

You should be able to change it but maybe you forgot to select the 15th when you set it up?

It defaults to the 1st but you can select the 15th.

Since the maintenance fees haven't posted yet, how would you know the due date is different?

Is it possible that you saw 1/1 from the statement date (rather than payment date)?

From our 2024 Statement

Statement Date: 01/01/2024
Payment Due: 01/15/2024

The autopay would show when it will be pulled.

I didn't set this up, DVC set it up this way when they added it to my account. It didn't really matter before, but with this change it give me 15 fewer days to pay the whole thing.

Just go in and change it. It’s easy to do!
I didn't realize that you could do this. A CM must have set it up automatically for me, because the other 2 contracts were setup for monthly payments, but set the date for the 1st.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for this post and thread. I just paid my dues with a $500 Disney Gift Card that I purchased for a discount from BJs Wholesale Club. At first I didn't see the option to pay with a gift card. But, when I clicked on the Add New Card option at payment, then it appeared. I added it. And, it's paid. Woohoo!

Glad you were able to do it!!

Now if only I could get my dues under $500 :)

FYI, Best Buy's website has digital Disney $50s on sale for $45 (10% off) starting this morning. Personal accounts can order a max of 3 in an order, and you can typically place another order once your first set of cards are delivered (received in your email). I can generally get 2 orders a day in during these sales, so I'm hoping the sale lasts for a few days.

Not the best discount but the timing is right for dues payments.

Wow, thanks for the note about placing another order after the first set arrives. We just put in our 2nd order of 3 cards! Appreciate it - 10% off is 10% off!

Just paid all of mine. $7700.
Luckily mine were not that much :)

I know you didn’t pay that out of pocket. I’m curious were you able to do better than $7k? $6.5k?

I’m guessing $6.3K but you are pretty good at getting deals so it could be lower.

I was sitting at about a 16.25% savings overall for the stack I had. 😎
