I just saw this movie and all I can say is WOW. I'm still crying!! Does anyone know if this was based on a true story?

I don't know if it's based on a true story or not. I do know that I was so upset by the ending of this movie that I refuse to watch a film until I'm reassured that I won't be crying from sadness at the end.

I was so upset by this film :(

i agree....the ending was very, very sad. I'm actually shaking as I write this. I'm not sure if i liked the movie or if i'm reacting to the message and ending.

I hated that movie because of the ending even though I think its an awesome concept! Reminds me of the McCuley Culken film when I was younger...oh I can't remember the name of it but he died! I loved the movie until the end.

you mean My Girl? Why does someone have to die at the end of all movies?

Yep that was it! I remember watching it when I was a teenager and crying and then saying I hate that movie!! I hated GHOST too....I always thought that some way he would come back to life and then I would have loved it!!

Beauty....I think the name of the Movie where McCuley Culken died is called, The Good Son, or something along those lines.
Is that the one where he was hanging off the cliff and his mother mother let his hand go? She saved the good son from falling, who wasn't really her son, McCuley was her real, evil son.

I don't think I seen Pay It Forward, maybe I don't want to!

I saw Pay it forward when it came out afew yrs ago? (time is going by so fast, not sure when I saw it). I cried for days after:( .

Any movie that depicts a child getting hurt or dieing... rips me apart. I do not deal with it very well. I went to see Pay It Forward with two of my girlfriends at the theatre when it first came out. No one told me it was that sad... so I did not bring tissues. I blubbered through the last part and was literally weeping. I had a napkin left from the popcorn ... and had to try and make that hold out. Not good. Then... as I was leaving the theatre... I ran into a bunch (and I mean alot!) of coworkers and acquaintances from the community. Of course, I looked like someone had just beat me up. :p

I loved the basic message of the movie - but the ending was just too tragic for me. I wouldn't watch this one again. I don't think I want to go through that again.

Can someone remind me of the ending to this movie? I remember parts of the movie, but not the ending. I do remember that I wasn't happy with it though.
