Passport Plus--Is it worth the extra $10 in shipping? Is Preferred Seating worth it?

We are deciding between a regular 5-day park hopper and a Passport Plus with extra benefits like preferred seating, fun book and luggage tags. It costs $10 for this feature since the pass has to be shipped from Disney or AAA and it is apparently not available for pickup at AAA.

Do you think it is worth it? Is Preferred Seating a good deal, and what does it mean? Can you show up and not stand in a line and get a great seat, or do they save good seats for preferred seating guests who are waiting in line? Does anyone know how long one has to wait in line for these shows? My kids are 2 and 5, and I don't know if we will go to any shows...maybe Playhouse Disney at DCA. Is this a hard show to get into?

<font color=navy>You still have to stand in line if you have preferred seating, but then you sit in a reserved section for the show.

There's reserved seating at all four shows at California Adventure.

You can also order these tickets online through Dreams Unlimited Travel. :sunny:

I don't know what a Passport Plus is, so this may not be relevant, but the Disney Store offers the same tickets that are available at the website, so you can save on shipping.

The hoppers that they sell through Walt Disney Travel come with luggage tags, preferred seating, the fun book (coupons) and the ESPN Zone card ($10). The ones they sell on the website only come with the ESPN Zone card, at least that's what I was told. I would guess that the Disney Stores sell the same ones that are on the website, which would probably be fine for us, except I can never make it to the Disney store!

Thanks for your advice!

Aha--I saw the ones that you're talking about, and I'm inclined to agree with this assessment. So the ones sold by the Disney Store would be the ones that do not have luggage tags, etc.

:)

<font color=navy>Just to add a little more, the 2-3 day park hoppers do not come with the ESPN Zone $10 card, just the 5-7 day park hoppers do.
