I am traveling onboard the Wish for the first time. Do my husband and I have to have a passport to take this cruise? If not, what do I need to have ?

A passport is not necessary for the cruise, but the alternate documents are not valid if you end up needing to fly at any point during your cruise. Air travel from a foreign country is likely to require a passport where a land or sea crossing doesn’t. Just something to keep in mind. I read a news article recently where a family of nine was late returning from an Alaskan excursion and the ship left without them. They could not fly to the next port and meet the ship because that stop was in Canada and their passports were on the ship. They missed the rest of their cruise and flew back to Seattle where it originated. If they had cruised with documents other than passports they would have had the same problem.
