Hi. I received all our park tickets yesterday from ATD:cool1: and on the tickets it says that Photo ID is required. I have photocopied all our passports and was wondering if this will be sufficient to carry around as ID as I don't want to carry 6 passports around all holiday. Many thanks for your help as always. We have just over 3 weeks to go and I have just linked our tickets to MDE and will have a think about fastpasses, I think it's about time we put some plans down:rotfl2:.

I've never had to take photo ID for standard UK tickets (unless you are picking them up on the gate). I would maybe take my passport on the first day but I wouldn't carry it around after that :)

I do carry my DL with me but that's more for booze purposes ;)

Never had to produce ID for DD even when buying her annual pass.

For us we have only been asked for ID when buying our Annual passes but never for normal tickets.

I always carry my photo card DL anyway but never take my passport out.

ETA - Whenever I am asked for ID whether buying my AP, checking in to a resort, using my CC or buying alcohol I will always present my photocard DL and that has always been sufficient. I have never had anyone ask me for my passport however they were tightening up in Disney on ID for alcohol and asking for passports (not copies) if you didn't have an American issued DL.

Also never been asked for ID for DD who is a minor. However I've been asked to produce photo ID for everything from collecting tickets and checking in to each and every time I airs a card to pay, whether a credit card or a prepaid card. Last time I got tired of taking it with me do I loaded several gift cards at the resort and locked my passport and cards in the safe.

Never had issues with travellers cheques at wdw either

If you use it for a small purchase early in the day you get the change on cash which is what I did to "cash" ours. Offsite can be different though. Premium outlet mall had a few stores who weren't keen so be prepared if you leave wdw property

Thanks very much for the replies. When we went to Orlando years ago we were never asked for ID getting in to the parks but as it is printed on the tickets (US SW ones) I wondered if this was a new requirement. I might just carry the copies on the first day and see what happens. I haven't got a photo DL, it is still the old paper one. The adults in our party are 45,44 and I'm 40, do you think they will still ask for ID for alcohol? We definitely don't look 30 or under anymore.

It's doubtful :)

I very rarely get asked at 28 so I'm sure you will be fine. My DH was asked at 40 but that's only because they asked us both! He didn't need ID though when he pointed out his age, lol!

I have been asked for ID when buying alcohol a few times in Orlando. I do not look under 21. Not even close!

My husband and I were refused service in The Hogshead a at Universal as we had no ID (despite having our two teenagers with us - we were 33/34 at the time)

As it happened we left and went to a cart outside and bought my DH a Bud (strange when 'company policy' can vary just 100 metres away) but in honesty - since then We always carry the photo ID from our driving license.
