Passing DVC Ownership to daughter help needed

My husband and I purchased DVC IN 1994. At that time our daughter was 6 years old. We can’t use it much anymore due to health issues and would like to pass it to her. She is now married. Whats the easiest way to do that? Thank you so much for your help in advance. Our deed is made out in just my husband and my names.

although easiest way is to pay someone else to do it. The link above is the cheapest way

You can do it yourself…see post above…or contact a title company to help. I have heard good things about LT Transfers.

I used First American to add my adult kids to the deeds. But they were pricey.

My mother in law just transferred her OKW bought in 1995 to us earlier this year. I used Mason title just because we were also using them for a resale contract and they were $450 for the transfer and it took about 50 days until the points were in our names. A fun side note is that your daughter’s DVC card will say member since 1994 once it’s transferred to her

You can easily do it yourself by following the thread linked above. If you're not comfortable with that, I can recommend LT Transfers, https://www.lttransfers.com/, based on personal experience. They'll probably be less expensive than other title companies but their work is just as good!

Do you want to give it to just your daughter, or to both her and her husband? Does she live in a community property state? Depending on the particular state law, you might want to give it just to her and have her set up a segregated bank about to pay maintenance fees if you don't want it to be considered marital property.
