While your MB is generally OK for this,
you should carry your card for this and other AP uses.

You should also carry a legal photo ID... just in case.
(It has saved me a couple of times.)

Yea MB can be scanned but it's quicker and easier to just have your AP card and license ready

To be safe I would also take your ID. When we park we always show the AP card and matching ID. Sometimes they check both.
