Party Ticket Problem

Okay, here's what I'm seeing. The 60 day "umbrella" function isn't working for phantoms with just a party ticket. The phantom (who only has a party ticket and no other ticket) has to be listed on the resort reservation in order to pre-book 60 days out for that phantom.

At the same time, the "party line" on this is changing. Officially, you can't prebook FP on a party night with only a party ticket because FP aren't given out during the party. And there's even a murmuring about the possibility of tightening up the soft arrival time of 4:00 PM. Officially, the party doesn't start until 7. But it's going to take some major re-education to prepare party guests to stop coming at 4 PM. So while unofficially, party guests can't prebook FP (kiosks only) - unofficially, it does still work. But oddly enough, the 60 day umbrella function does not work with party tickets. This might be a glitch that poofs away - and you'll find next week that you suddenly can umbrella party phantoms! It's worth trying again. Maybe switching browsers.

We'll see how the system is behaving when the 30 day mark arrives.
Thank you, :worship: ScrapYap for confirming why it works for @HatboxHaint and not for @beesly and @Avery's mom! Perhaps they can switch browsers to see if that helps.

So, we won't know about 4:00p entry until the first MNSSHP Party?

If they back up the admission to the party to 7:00pm I'm in trouble since I have a group of 8 with an ADR at 4:30 for BoG. I really hope this isn't a problem.

It won't be a problem this year - or maybe ever. You'll get in for your ADR. If there is even a short delay, just tell a cast member about your ADR and you'll get in. It's just that noises are starting to be made about the unofficial party entry time - which means that they might start encouraging people to arrive later. The change can't be made abruptly as they don't have room to corral a mass of costumed humanity in front of the tapstiles, making them wait for even an hour, much less three hours. There is no choice but to let party goers enter the park at or near 4 PM - since that's what guests are planning around. Unless Disney Crowd Command wants to fill the entire pathway from the tapstiles to the Contemporary with waiting guests. Not going to happen. Just something to keep an eye on for future years.

Thank you so much! The closer we get the more nervous hahaha.

I"m trying to book FP now. I have a party ticket for one day, and then a 1 day ticket for MK for another day. It won't let me book two days of FPs. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this a new change? They are all linked to my account.

ETA: Nevermind! I kept trying and it eventually let me do 2 FP on party day and 2 on regular day, but gave me an error when i tried to book more. Then I kept clicking and selecting FPs different ways, and it finally let me book them. It seems really glitchy this morning. Even with the times you can select. At one point I couldn't find anything past 2:30 for anything on party day, but when I went back a different way there were plenty of times between 4 and 6:30. strange!

How does the system know the difference between party tickets and regular tickets? We have ten day tickets and party tickets linked in MDE. We are not using a regular ticket on the day we attend the party. When our 60 day comes, how do I make sure the fastpasses that day are on the party tickets?

The system allows you to book based on valid ticket entitlements. It doesn't matter which type of ticket is linked to your MDE.

That info is incorrect. The Party Ticket does open booking for the complete Party day except that you should use it to book between 3:30-6:30.

@HatboxHaint has successfully booked FPs using his Party tickets and so have many others this year and the previous years that FP booking has been available.

So we took the plunge & purchased MVMCP tickets online. I selected the snail mail option.
My question is : How do I link the Party tickets to my MDE?

We cannot get 3 FP for the Party ticket plus 3 for our AP for that day @ MK, right?

or the 3:30-4:30, 4:30-5:30, 5:30-6:30 FP that are allowed with a linked Part ticket,
would be our 3 for the Day, then?

Since we did not purchase the Party tickets on a Day when our AP is expired, after all,
we could make FP anytime that day, but the option for Party ticket holders only on the same day,
sounds great.

The Disers expertise & knowledge is amazing :)

you can only have 3 pre booked FP a day it dose not matter if you have an AP and a party ticket you still only get 3 rebooked FP unless something has changed this year witch I do not think happened

when you get your ticket go to link ticket ( If you have a smart phone do it on there ) you can take a picture/ scan the code on the pack ( it will pop up so you do not need to do anything) it really walks you thought it very easy

Yes, it's 3 with your AP. If you want an additional 3 using the Party Tickets, they would have to be linked to phantoms in your MDE account.
