Party at Disney Resorts

Hi All!

This is my very first post - so please let me know if I've done anything incorrect. I am looking at having a surprise 40th birthday party for my DH somewhere in Disney World. Has anyone ever had a party at one of the resorts where you rented out maybe a ballroom and had a catered affair? I'm trying to figure out how to do this and what the best place to do it would be. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the DIS. You might want to ask on the restaurant board also. How many people are you inviting? You might want to get in touch with private dining at the Grand Floridian.

You may have to go through the meetings department in order to reserve one of the ballrooms / conference rooms

I know my Dmom attended a 50th Anniv part for @ 20 folks at the Cinderella Feast at GF and then there was some special stuff after.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to try the meetings or large events group at Disney. As well I'm going to post the same question under the restaurant area. I'm thinking we'll have around 40 or so people - so it's not very big, but I would like to have a DJ and maybe a video tribute. I appreciate everyones feedback!
