I love watching the Disney World vacation-planning DVD. It makes me so happy, even though I've watched it a billion times. It actually helps when I'm feeling anxious, too.

I actually got it at WalMart.

Am I the only 1 that gritted his teeth in shock and joy to see that the Osbourne Lights are starting to go up?

I may have to go to the old DVR and watch Behind the Magic this weekend.

We watched it last week. Even DH.

My plan was to watch the Disney Parks behind-the-scenes DVD, but neither my kids nor my husband were interested. I bought the Disney Scene-It to play, also, but we haven't done that yet, either. Maybe we can do that tonight or some other time this weekend.

Changed my plans for New Year's Eve now, going pirate themed. 3 kiddos in Pirates League and then the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage! I'm super excited to pull this big surprise on them!!!!

I've tried to fit the Pirate thing into our last two trips but it just doesn't fit. Maybe next time.

I'm going to make Mickey ornaments (smaller ones) for the small tree I plan to put up in our room at POR. OMGosh......I'm almost hyperventilating just thinking about it!

On an exciting note.....i have 3 weekend trips coming up this fall so that should help distract me from obsessing over our WDW trip. Oh, who am I kidding? I'll still obsess!

What are you thinking for your tree ornaments? I bought some little glass Mickey Heads on sale but I was going to do some paper ones too. I was just thinking simple circles with everyone's favorite characters then laminated. But I'm open to ideas. I need a topper too.

Yesterday I decided on two trees. I found a cute 12" tree on Amazon that I'll put in the in-laws room along with some lights and garland. The one in our suite will be 2'.

have to laugh....we havent got the carry on(over night bag for us drivers)packed yet, but I do have a bag that has a few pins, fanny packs, DD crossbody purse, pp cards.....when I come across something that I think we need for the trip it gets added to the bag....pretty sure that once it is full, it will go in the stow n go in the van.....
We have hit a heat wave, but when the season does change, I will pack clothes that I know we will need for the vacation(then rewash before we leave)......

wow, love the Halloween decorations, just means xmas is getting closer!

I keep a box with all our ponchos, hats, new shirts, etc. plus my nightstand is full of presents. I probably won't start real packing until the weather changes and summer clothes get put away, maybe another month.

I just realized this week that I need to book DS's Oct birthday party and start thinking about his Halloween costume. We went to Disney the last two birthdays so I totally forgot about a party with his friends this year. And really, all I can think about is Christmas. I'm pretty sure that makes me a bad Mom.

I haven't been very active here but I think it's time. I'm starting to get geared up now that we are under 100 days.

My mom has decided to join us which is very exciting, as it's been at least 14 years since her last visit. This will be her first ever on-property stay. I think she's completely packed already LOL

I'm here woohoo! And it's the BER months finally!! The leaves on my the trees in my neighborhood have already started to fall. I can't believe it! 106 more days until Disney!!!!

I'm going to either buy a tree and have it delivered to POR or figure out if I can pack one. I'll stalk the Dollar Store for their plastic "ball" ornaments and hopefully be able to find two smallish sizes to make Mickey ears. I suppose I'll have to hot glue them. What about finding some wide red polka dot ribbon and making Minnie's Bow? I know Disneystore.com has those small silhouette Mickey Ear ornaments but they are $22 for 8 of them.....come to think of it, maybe I should have just bought those. Lol!

Hubby and I were out on the deck talking (in code since our kids don't know we are going without them) about our MVMCP day and what we should do for lunch. He then informed me if I was this meticulous planning our lives as I was planning our WDW trip we'd be much more organized . I just don't have as much fun planning other things as I do a Disney trip,

Just a heads up to anyone who may have early ADRs in Magic Kingdom on December 4th. Disney has moved early EMH at the Magic Kingdom from December 6th to Dec 4th. Epcot will have early EMH on December 6th.

Argh! I just saw on easyWDW that they got rid of the black bean flatbread at Electric Umbrella in Epcot. Boo! It was so good and one of the few vegan options that were filling. Whomp.
