PART TWO *December 2012 Roll Call* Holidays, FLE & MVMCP!! A very, merry thread!

I love going to WDW as an adult...especially when it's only with one other adult. We have a plan going into each park each day, but we're OK if things have to change or don't work out that way. I think things would be stressful if we even just brought a couple more people with us.

For the past few years I've gone with groups of at least 7 or 8, all adults (well, I'm 27, my brother is 21, and there's my fiance and our parents.)

It's amazing how difficult it can be getting everyone on the same page.

I can't tell you how much I look forward to this year when it will be just the little lady and I on our honeymoon.

I'm going to miss the heck out of my family, and it'll be the first time I've been to WDW without them, but I'm beyond ready to do what WE want, on OUR time.

The plan right now is for me to plan a family WDW trip in January or February of 2014. It'll be for anywhere between 4 and 8 people, I think. It'll be interesting to see how much more stressful it is. Haha! That said, I think (hope?) that folks will be good about splitting up and/or being flexible.

Lol okay I've got a new iPad and am trying to figure out how to post on the boards and the only thing I could figure out was how to quote so valgoof I'm just using you. :-)
I'm super excited we are In Double digits now!

Did you download the free DIS app? Makes it so much easier. Too easy, really. ;)

We're taking my MIL and FIL on this trip. We've traveled with them to other destinations before, so I know we mesh well. I planned our Hawaii trip and everyone lived it. But I'm still super-nervous. It's their first time and I just want it to be special.

I would not want to do it for someone that didn't totally trust me to do the planning though. Or that operated completely differently than we do. This is nerve-wracking enough.

Wow! You're off the DIS for several days then BAM!! Not only a new thread but on to page 23!!! Awesome!

I've been so super busy but the great news is our trip is thisclose to being paid off (except for tips and spending $). Once I can say it's paid off, I'll be doing the :woohoo: dance!!

This has been the longest summer ever. It has really dragged....and I also mean weather wise. Y'all, it is HOT in Texas! :furious: Seriously, it's September and 101!! :faint: I have never longed for fall/winter more in my entire life. True, don't wanna wish my life away, but bring on the cool weather already! :thumbsup2

Hope everyone is doing great!!

This ought to make BDL do a little jig...

Per WDWMAGIC:
The large crane is currently scheduled to be onsite for the castle Dream Lights installation from September 16 to October 1 2012

Yet another sign that our season is a'coming! :thumbsup2

Someone on the POP thread posted about the crane being up for part of her upcoming trip and I almost responded that they were putting lights on the castle for my trip, but I thought that would be mean. :santa:

I read that too, I don't think they were too happy that it was going to be there, but I was smiling cause I feel special they are putting special decorations just for us.

Exactly!! I thought she might take it wrong if I was celebrating the crane being in all of her pictures. :rotfl:

Work is slow today. I'm at that point where I've sent stuff to other folks and need to wait for them to get back to me before doing anything. Blah.

Does anyone here know why Be Our Guest is shown as only having dinner from 4:00 - 5:30 on the dining reservations thing online? Just curious.

I was having so much fun planning things and now that I think most of my planning is done, it's kinda sad.

Sorry if this already was answered - they say that BoG is only open 4-5:30 on party nights, idk why though.

Lilmommybug thanks for sharing. Happy Anniversary!! Are you looking forward to your kid free week as much as I am. Lol.

YES! I'm going to miss them so much, but I know they will be in good hands being spoiled at their Nana's house!

Cashed in another batch of winning scratch tickets today, and parlayed them into Disney gift cards. That brings the total on my desk to $425 in Disney gift cards. More than enough to have BDLsgal and I upgrade to the deluxe dining plan. Which will come in handy, since we have 6 TS spoken for between CP/dining combo, F!/dining combo and dinner at Le Cellier

This ought to make BDL do a little jig...

Is this what you had in mind Tofubeast? But, to be honest, I did screech like a 14 yr old girl at a concert.

We always have either my parents join us at Disney or my inlaws. This year it's my inlaws. Surprisingly, though, it's not at all stressful, because like you said, both sets of parents completely trust me to plan. They just show up and go where I tell them to go, and when. And as a bonus, babysit the kids when we need a break.

If they actually had opinions ... I could see it getting messy!! LOL

BTW, I'm about to start planning a Hawaii trip and am TOTALLY out of my element and I'm in full on panic mode. Have never been, planning on going summer of 2014. Feel free to PM any tips, advice or good planning websites!!

We travel with my parents all the time. They are very easy and laid back

Went to Hawaii a few years ago. The kids were 8 & 13 at the time. Oahu, Kauai & Maui. The boards on tripadvisor are great. everyone is really nice & helpful
