Good morning my little roll-call peeps

<warning, sarcasm ahead> Oh, there's more that I just found out last night after posting on here. I may not be able to get back on Sunday Reason? The New York City Marathon! The mayor has decided that this will still take place! So many people are in an uproar saying it should be re-scheduled/postponed. The City still have several places without power or food and others that have lost everything and are staying at hotels. They're still recovering from Sandy. One DISer posted that her refugee cousin was told by the hotel she is staying at that they have to leave today (Friday) to make room for the marathon! You gotta be kidding me!

Awww .... that's so sweet. I wish my DH had been that excited about getting married. I think he was more excited about Disney ... but then again maybe we both were.

Wow. I hadn't realized just how large OKW was. We have 2 studios our first night, one HH and one non-HH (that's all that was left when we booked a month ago). I guess the best thing will just to be to take our luggage to the lobby to have it sent to BLT, and meet there to head to AK?

Wow that is dedication! We'll probably go to the Saturday matinee, but I'm really looking forward to this movie. Let us know how much you enjoy it!

Often you can get help getting your luggage to the lobby- and are you doing the online checkin for the rooms or do you have the DVC resv. #? You can call and see if you can get your rooms closer together as a request. I have always found the people at OKW so nice.

5 weeks from right now, we will be on a bus bound for EPCOT having either just checked in to our POR-RGR rooms or at the very least, leaving our bags in the depot.

Good morning!!!! I have a ton of work to do today.
Opened my Disney store order from last week and it is so cute!!!! I got the Santa Mickey and Minnie 7". They are really small. Kinda wish they were bigger, but they will be easy to pack. I got my niece an art case thing with Tink and Minnie Mouse pens and a stationary set. They are all awesome!! So much better in person and bigger than I thought. And she'll never know I paid half price. Just need to come up with something as good for my nephew.

I went through the map of AK with dh and I listed the things that I thought we could skip this trip. One of them was It's Tough to be a Bug....and he says, "I like that, do we have to skip it"?

That is my DH's must do too!! We did it last year and I HATE bugs. I guess I can suck it up and let him choose one attraction.

I've been reading, but haven't had time to post. My thoughts are with all of you who have been going through difficult times. Thank Goodness you have a Disney trip coming up soon to cheer you up!

I'm still obsessing over my itinerary. DH finally agreed to have a conversation with me about our plans and suggested that park-hopping might be too much with the little one (DD5 and DS4). So I think that we're just going to do DHS and MK and save the other parks for our next trip. I hate to cut out AK, but DS only talks about Star Wars these days and spends all afternoon using anything he can find as a light saber.

Reassure me that the crowds won't be too bad on Dec. 9 and 10. We're doing DHS on Dec. 9 and MK on Dec. 10, neither of which is a recommended park for the days that we are going. My plan is to be there at park opening (DD5 and I have an 8:05 CRT reservation for our MK day), take a break in the afternoon if the crowds get too bad, and then return for EMH.

I was on a field trip with my daughter yesterday (went to see the play the Great Gatsby with the drama department from her school), then I got to meet Alveda King (niece to Dr MLK Jr) - so awesome to meet living history like that! I learned a lot from her.

so, maybe I will catch up today.

You'll be fine! Yes, it will be crowded (Disney always is) but it won't be unmanageable. It is, it was almost as long for me (1988) til my next trip (2011). Being such a long time since your last trip, you'll be so caught up in the magic you won't notice the crowds

HA! Yes I was really sensible the other day though .... I bought a black fleece as black goes with anything right? It also makes the pink of my bag pop even more

I think that I may be almost as excited as the kids. Nope, I'm definitely more excited.

DD5 will probably find you. That's her favorite color scheme.

So excited about this! One of the things that I was disappointed about missing at AK was Santa Goofy, but he's going to be at Osborne Lights this year! Can't wait!

In 36 days we will be just landing......I will have just slurped the last of my Bloody Mary I'm deathly afraid of flying, thus the adult beverage.

I'm sad because we are staying the first night at RPR so no ME for me for the first leg of this trip. We'll get to take ME on the way back though!

I am so excited to hear reviews of MVMCP! I'm also excited that in an hour or so we'll be headed up to Chicago for a weekend trip with 3 of my 4 sisters and my step mom. I wish the Disney Outlet store wasn't 1.5 hours from where we will be staying but I'll be sure to find the Disney Store on Michigan Ave!
