You can be my personal shopper. Heck, this whole thread can help me shop, since I'm obviously not spending enough time on the Disney Store. Anytime someone wants to go on the Disney Store, they should just go to the men's department and look at options for me to buy! It'll fill y'all's need to spend time on the Disney Store with my lack of time to shop for myself!

P.S. Does y'all's make sense, or did I make that up?

I'm not sure of my last message went through or not but it said, " I bought hubby the Grumpy ok pants, Grumpy tshirt, Grumpy thermal olive green shirt, and a Spider-Man tshirt". Do you seem a theme there?

ok, so we are now 50 days from leaving and starting our drive to the World....only I now have been looking a bit closer at the park hours and.....for some crazy reason, I keep thinking and wondering IF we have enough time to do it all.....I dont want to mess with our resi for fear of losing our FD.....right now we are there from the 20-26.....do I try and add just a day to our passes when we go and stay that last night off property, book a room only(2 rooms) for the last night or just call it good.....I have been looking into the DTD hotels and would be a lot cheaper for the last night if we were to add a day to our passes(only $60 for an extra hopping day).....what to do, what to do.....just want to make sure we can do and see it all. It isnt our first trip and there are things we still havent seen!.....

Ok question for the group who has travelled with potty training kids.... My daughter is completely potty trained. Except she is terrified of public bathrooms. When we go out I try to get her to use them but we always end up using our little "potty" which we keep for emergencies.... Any hints or tricks? I'm most concerned for the plane ride/airport....

Do you know what about public restrooms scares her? With my son it was the flushing noise - so much louder than at home. I would let him leave the stall before I flushed.

We are leaving Dec 20th..lol..I haven't done much more than book our hotel. We are driving..so no airline tickets to buy. I think I am putting off planning because it just seems very overwhelming. I look at the crowd calendars..don't really understand the tour planning thing..lol. I am very excited to go..just very very overwhelmed.

Are you doing dining plans or any ADR? If so I'd suggest those should be top priority. The tour planning basically gives you predictions if crowd levels and suggest routes to take according to how you like to do the parks, commando (fast paced get add much done as possible) OR turtle (slow and steady). I arrive on the 19th so we kinda have the same dates. I'd be happy to assist with the park planning thing. =) This group is wonderful and I'm sure everyone will chip in if u have any questions.

What part scares her? My daughter was scared b/c of the automatic flush, sometimes it would flush with her on it, which terrified her. So I carried a stack of post it notes in my purse and would cover the sensor. Then she could go, get up, get dressed and out before I removed it. Solved our fear. :goodvibes

Wish I'd known the post-it trick.

Welcome!!! We can help with your plans. Where are you staying? Who is in your party? If you are onsite, do you have the dining plan?

So it looks like I am leaving you all. We're having to postpone our trip, my grandmother is not well, spent last weekend on a ventilator. She's home because there's nothing else they can do. They give her 2 months or so. So we're pushing our trip back to late February.

Enjoy your trips, have magical Christmasy times! & shop, shop, shop! pixiedust:pixiedust:

I may peek in from time to time as there seems to be no February thread!? :confused3 :faint:

Oh no! I'm sad you have to postpone but only you know what's right for your situation. You would probably be thinking of your grandmother and not enjoying your trip if you went. I will pray for you all!

Since we don't know what days we will be in what parks..we didn't do any ADR or dining plans..just gonna wing it..lol.

I bought my hubby the grumpy pj pants, a grumpy tshirt, and the olive green thermal grumpy shirt. Do you see a theme here? :lmao:

LOL. I bought my stepdad a Grumpy t-shirt last year. His almost 2 year old granddaughter points to Grumpy and says "Pa!". :goodvibes

We are staying at the Drury Inn and suites. There are 4 of us. Me,hubby, and our sons age 17 and 9.

Where in STL? I live in north county :). I wish I had gotten tickets for Les Mis....I love that one ....it is long though...and I've only seen it once on stage (at The Muny). I think I will get tickets for Wicked as it'll still be here after we get back from Disney! I think we're 40 days out for our vacation!

They are West of the city - Maryland Heights area.

The one the Fox is getting this year that I'm hoping I can snag a ticket for is Book of Mormon. We'll probably get it in KC next year since it's so popular, but I'd definitely drive out to STL to get to see it this year! Wicked is FANTASTIC! The other one the Fox is getting this year that we've seen that was phenomenal is Million Dollar Quartet. If you haven't seen either of those yet they are definitely a treat!

This is why we have coffee!!!! And lots of it!

Good point :thumbsup2 I guess my Keurig will get one heck of a workout Christmas Eve!!!

You have definitely come to the right place. Everyone on this board is fantastic, and if you tell us what you want to do, we'll do our best to take all the "overwhelming" out of your planning!

So far we just have rain here in DC. But the wind is starting to pick up. Judging by our backyard I suspect there's already a fair amount if flooding.

The storm strengthened more than expected overnight. So now they're saying max winds of 85 mph instead of 70.

Everyone stay safe.

Thank you!! I am just trying to pick the "best" days at the busiest time of year..lol. We of course want to do the big stuff at every park. We were there 14yrs ago..so I am calling this our first trip..:cool1: We plan to be at rope drop for whatever park we are going to do that day. Get to the #1 ride on our list..then fastpasses for the other.

Counter service (order at a counter, get your food and sit down) does not require any reservations. There are lots of options and allows for flexibility. We did our trip last year with all counter service and it worked well for us. Just know that you are going at a very busy time, so you won't be able to walk up to a lot of the table service restaurants without a reservation. If you are okay with that, then you will be set for food.

We can help as much or as little as you would like. Most of us are major planners, so I dont want to scare you away. :goodvibes You should probably at least get an idea of what your must dos are in each park.

Be safe! So many friends and family down your way - and needless to say I am worried....

So, my husband goes - what would you do if we lost power for 7 days... I tell him - leave and go on vacation. Is that wrong :)

:rotfl: My 38 year old brother is one who likes to keep busy. My mom asked him what is he going to do if we lose power for 7-10 days? He's not one to sit and read a book.

Morning everyone!

Hoping this all goes well for you - sounds like it's off to a great start! Let's hope you didn't price your house too low... that's the first thing that we questioned when we had soooo much interest in ours when it went on the market.

This group of words threw me... I was like, "wow, okay, go knock yourself out" then I realized it was Disney speak and not like a real pap... :rotfl2:

happy Monday morning...

gina

I had the same thought - but then I figured it out while I was :rotfl2:

Has anyone ever done the Sunday Gospel Brunch at House of Blues?
I've always wanted to try it and there's one in Vegas also but just haven't gotten around to it...

:wave2:Wondered if you were still around this morning. Are you ready?

No scaring me..lol. My plan is to do counter service at off times. We have a list of must dos at each park.

Oh ok good. Your first couple posts had me scared. This one sounds like you know what you are getting into. :thumbsup2
